WICHITA, Kan. — Wichita State hired Jody Adams as its women’s basketball coach Wednesday, less than a week after she led Murray State to its first NCAA tournament appearance.
She replaces Jane Albright, who was fired after going 48-95 in five seasons.
Adams spent one season at Murray State, leading the Racers to a 24-8 record and a win in the Ohio Valley Conference tournament. Murray State lost to Duke 78-57 in the first round.
Adams, a member of Tennessee’s 1991 national championship team, is a former associate head coach at Southern Illinois. She also coached at Missouri-Kansas City, Minnesota, Wake Forest and Auburn.

Good for Jody. She was always one of my favorite players because she played hard all the time. She was not the most talented player but she concentrated, learned and played hard which is why she is a good coach.
Good Luck Jody.

Large, this Adams is actually good at something. Obviously of no blood relation the "editor".

Pat's coaching tree must have reached rather impressive proportions by now. Some day I would love to see a list of how many former Lady Vols players and assistants are head coaches now.

My bad. I should have been tipped off by the words "Lady Vol" in the title of the article, we all know John Adams is no Vol.

Congratulations to Jody. She is a rising star in the coaching ranks. As with so many other Lady Vols it is great to see Pat's legacy continue to shine in her players. I would love to see the KNS do an article on how many former players, grad assistants and coaches are now coaching on every levels, how many are head coaches verses assistant, and how much success they have had.
