Parker finalist for Wade Trophy

Tennessee’s Candace Parker is still in the running for a repeat.

The sensational junior forward was listed among the 12 finalists for the State Farm Wade Trophy, which goes to the top player in women’s college basketball.

Parker won the award, known as “The Heisman Trophy of Women’s Basketball,” last season. The candidates are selected by a vote of committee members picked by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association and the National Association for Girls and Women in Sport.

The list also includes Rutgers’ Essence Carson and Matee Ajavon, Connecticut’s Tina Charles and Renee Montgomery, LSU’s Sylvia Fowles, Maryland’s Crystal Langhorne and Kristi Toliver, North Carolina’s Erlana Larkins, Louisville’s Angel McCoughtry, Oklahoma’s Courtney Paris and Stanford’s Candice Wiggins.

The award winner will be announced April 5.

Candace Parker is one of the most entertaining women's players ever.

She's also damn good-looking.
