Turns out Tennessee’s offense isn’t the only thing David Cutcliffe took with him to Duke.
Cutcliffe, UT’s former offensive coordinator and newly hired Duke head football coach, will be part of the school’s first-ever Duke Athletics Tour, which closely resembles UT’s Big Orange Caravan that sends coaches around the Southeast to meet with fans and alumni.
Cutcliffe will be the featured speaker in Knoxville on May 22 for an event at the Foundry, presented by the Iron Dukes.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and dinner begins at 6:30. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children 10 and younger.
“We’re thrilled to be a part of the first Duke Athletics Tour,” Cutcliffe said. “I am looking forward to speaking with many of our great alumni and fans in the Knoxville area. I know the evening will be a special experience for everyone.”

In other news, my son's youth baseball team is meeting for pizza at Mr. Gatti's tomorrow. Keynote speaker will be whoever wants to say something. Y'all our welcome for this exciting event.

Dook is encroaching upon the Dook of the Smokies territory. Probably cleared it with BP and you know Phil and he are tight.
"Great alumni and fan to gather" (sic) Lol

Enough of the Cutcliffe articles. He's taken his pathetic dink and dunk offense to Duke, which should provide their QB a good completion % and few if any touchdown passes.

OK. Look I need RSVPs for my son's baseball pizza party so that we know how many seats/pizzas to order. Also, the keynote speaker will be Mrs. Donaldson and she is afraid of crowds so seating will be limited.

I believe that US Americans, such as.. Duke fans and, er.. aluminum speakers.. or, I mean Iron speakers, such as the Iraq. US Americans... Maps... Cici's pizza.

Maybe Cutcliffe can pick up a few local players that can't get to UT or Vandy, but want a great education.

Ok, I'll state the obvious thing, Yes coach Cut was a good coach for UT. And yes we are glad he's a head coach again, but I do not think there's too many Duke football fans here in big orange country. Good luck coach cut. GO VOLS!

You guys are missing a key point, they are actually expecting people to pay admission to the tune of 15 bucks for this event. Still chuckling over that.
Thanks vol_in_lsu_land, but I have to respectfully decline the invite. Have your people get with my people and we'll get together on the schedule. My tee ball team has practice tommorow evening.

Duke did teach us one thing once: if opposing kick returner takes a knee in the end zone 3 times, we'd better be ready the 4th time when he only dips down half-way then takes off down the sideline.

Appreciate Cutcliff's contributions and all, but enough about him. I'd rather see what OUR coaching staff is doing. Clawson speaker @ UT alumni event in VA.

I did too there Silent. There is another one on Clinton Hwy. There's still a few around K-Town.

I agree - retarded article. Cutliffe is no longer big orange, who cares. Then again, if both Duke football fans in the 100 mile radius of Ktown read this, then maybe they can both not show up because that is what Duke football fans do.

Gen F- We used to mega-calorie up at Godfather's double cheese and BBQ. Took three days to get over it but it was awesome. Never saw it anywhere else.

Wouldn't it be more appropriate to call them the Paper Mache Dukes? Or the Jello Dukes?

Coach Cut is to Knoxville as a 40 year old is to living in his parent's basement. Has moved out a few times over the years, but always ends up coming back.

The Duke alumni and fans are the ones treating you and operating on you when you go to the hospital and the ones you pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to to make you well.

Surprised that Litton's isn't mentioned here with all the chat about K'town food. Anywho, it don't take long for Dookie football chat to subside.
GO VOLS!

I hope the KNS prints a follow up story...like.."15 people were in attendance for the Iron Duke alumni function...."
