The TX shot was more like gravy on a really good biscuit... at KY in '06 he ate the whole dang breakfast.

The picture of Chris Lofton with a young boy on his knee after a UT game. Thank you.

The shot over Durant was all that. The sound of 21,000 screaming NOOOOO when he releases the shot. Once the shot went Thompson boling turned into a riot zone. That was my 6 year olds 2nd B-ball game. The first one was a couple of weeks earlier when lofton torched the memfuss pussycats and ran them out of town. Loftons jersey bieng retired is a MUST. Thanks for the memories Chris.

I voted for the Kentucky game, but couldn't believe the 30+ game against Memphis here in the 06-07 season wasn't on the list. Of course, it would take a pretty LONG list for ALL his amazing accomplishments! He is truly a player for the ages and a man for all seasons and reasons. We may never see his like here again.

The thought that Tennessee went into corRUPPt Arena and shocked the Kats thanks to the exploits of a great player and a great person who wanted to play for Kentucky, but was rejected by Kentucky -- that was the greatest of countless great moments...

Yeah, the Memphis game here 2 seasons ago should be on the list as he was the leader of the wrecking crew.

Daddyvol are you kidding me??? I was at the texas game and believe me i wasn't screaming no. anytime the ball left lofton's hand i was all for it. he won't shoot it if he isn't confident of draining it!

Finally, a poll question that makes sense to ask.

I agree about the Dec. '06 Memphis game - the game at Rupp was unbelieveable, but I would argue the Memphis game is his best overall performance because he didn't hit 7 threes and get a bunch of free throws; he beat Memphis from all over the court and in every way possible in total dominance. The UK game felt like we were still living a dream; the Memphis game is when you knew that he was, in fact, really that special.

Every 3 he ever "lofted." Just not right that John Ward was not there to yell BOTTOM though. I'll have a heated fritter on Chris Lofton.

I remember watching that shot over the eventual POY in that Texas game. We can all rest assured that there were many, many homes in the southeast that turned into a riot zone after that shot nailed its way through. I remember as we were coming back in that game the announcers were saying how we couldn't sustain the momentum of our comeback, then C Lo hit that shot and THEY went wild. But I mean .. damn. There are so many good moments that I'll never forget from Lofton's career. He's the most exciting player I've ever seen at tennessee in my 18 years of life.

No question the Memphis game two season's ago. He was in a zone. The Vols will surely miss him next season; but I believe JuJuan Smith had a great career also(especially the last two) with UT.

Since I was at that Texas game that stands out the most to me. Just like DaddyVol said when he pulled back for that shot I was like "NOOOOOOOO......." then being part of the eruption when it went in was just incredible. The crowd reaction was similar to when Wilhoit kicked that 50 yard FG to edge FL in '04. Lofton, even more so than Pearl, is what has made TN Bball for me the past three years. I will miss him dearly.

There is no way not to miss him. Clasy, quiet, humble. You see so many jerks in the game, and then you see Chris.
I hope like heck he ends up doing something in bball, even if he doesn't make the nba.

If he doesn't find a spot on an NBA roster or decide to go play in Europe, I imagine he will find a spot on Bruce's staff.
Just my $.02.

I was at the Memphis game here 2 seasons ago. Definitely needs to be on the list. I think he had 34 points for a career high.
It was amazing to watch. No matter what he threw up, it went in. Amazing.

Hmm, the best one? Definantly the UT-Texas game, the three over Durant, yea that was the best, i paid a good 55 dollars for those tickets, and it was damn worth it.

I guess I'm biased a little, but the 31 points against Kentucky was very sweet for those of us living in Kentucky. I knew that both Louisville and Kentucky was making a huge mistake in not recruiting Chris. I'm so happy that he chose to go to UT. I think he will long be remembered as one of the very best to ever wear orange, and not let us forget what an honor it is to wear that orange. Thousands of kids dream of being able to wear that orange jersey and only a very few fulfill that dream. Chris will always be part of the UT family and I think we can all be proud of that.

My favorite memory of Lofton was his reaction after Pearl's hire when he found out how much tougher it was going to be under the "new guy." He was all over it!:)

Lofton's break up of the Gator 2-on-1 fastbreak, length of the court pass to Bradshaw for the game winner was an amazing play. Especially considering the Gators were about to get the winning basket and take the #1 ranking in the country. After watching that in TBA, I felt like we were beginning to turn the corner.

Chris Lofton, you will forever be remembered as the greatest BBALL VOL....YOU are the MVP of the teams that pushed this program into one of the premier bball teams. The Peyton Manning of UT basketball...THANK YOU FOR THE AWESOME MEMORIES!!!

I just have to say this. I was like a lot of people at the beginning of this past season wondering what was wrong with Chris. Not in a negative way -- since he had already done more for the program in his first three years than just about any other player -- not to mention how much class he had -- but just wondering what was causing his slump. Then, when we recently find out he was coming back from fighting cancer, that this very private person leading a very public life kept this secret and never once brought it oput to use as an excuse --- that is exemplary! And to top it off, as the season wore on and we got into conference play and as we needed him most, he returned to his old form the last half of the season.
Chris -- I hope you are reading this. If we had 13 players like you on the team, we'd go 30-0 every year. More over, we (and every team in America) NEED guys like you. Not just for your immense athletic ability, but as a shining example of overcoming adversity, getting the most out of your ability, class, and a good, clean, wholesome individual. The NBA more than anything, NEEDS guys like you too. If that is your dream, I wish you the best in that pursuit. If you make it, the NBA will profit far more than you will!

I have to say my favorite Lofton shot was in the NCAA tourney game 2 years ago when he hit the fade away baseline 3 as time was running out. What a shot.
