If practice makes perfect, lots of divers will be close to perfect today.
They had six hours of practice Friday for the Spring Masters National Championships, which begin today at UT's Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center.
Another practice session is scheduled at 8 a.m. today. Competition on 1-meter and 3-meter springboards will begin at 10.
Divers 21 and older are eligible to compete. More than 100 divers are expected to participate.
"This will help us with the running of the Olympic Training Camp and Selection Camp in July," said UT diving coach Dave Parrington.
"This is the perfect event for us to work out any problems."
Parrington said that despite being older, "Some of those competitors do some amazing dives."
Diving will end Monday with competition on the platform.
