The Lady Vols are going to the NCAA rowing championships as a team.
Tennessee was one of 12 schools selected to have complete teams entered in the field for the championships May 30-June 1 at Lake Natoma in Sacramento, Calif.
“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to have Tennessee represented at the championship event,” said UT coach Lisa Glenn, in a release from the sports information office. “Our team is humbled and ready to take on the challenge of competing at the highest level in two weeks.”
Tennessee is making its sixth straight and seventh appearance overall. The Lady Vols received individual boat selections in 1997, 2003, 2004 and 2005 and full-team bids in 2006 and 2007.
No other SEC team made the field.
