Former Tennessee Vol golfer David Skinns shot 4-under-par 68 Sunday to win the Hooters Tour Base Camp Realty/Chesdin Landing Open in Chesterfield, Va.
Skinns shot a 12-under 276 for a five-stroke victory over Ted Brown for his second Hooters Tour victory this season. Skinns won the Inverrary Classic on March 30.
Skinns started the day with a one-stroke lead and shot 35-33.
"I drove the ball well all week, which you had to do," Skinns said of the course's narrow fairways, "and I never got too overly aggressive going at the pins."
Skinns earned $33,566 for the victory, moving him back on top of the Hooters Tour money list at $80,346. He leads second-place Ryan Blaum by more than $32,000.
Skinns is 16th in scoring average (70.96) and second in rounds played (27).
Former UT golfer Andrew Pratt of Knoxville is 26th on the money list with $15,762, and Oak Ridge High School graduate Scott Stallings is 35th with $11,762.
