Kentucky stats
Tennessee Stat Book
1. Play Ball: The end to an emotional season will begin with an emotional tribute to UT's 25 seniors as well as Phillip Fulmer. For the most part , the Vols have handled their emotions well, but Saturday will be yet another challenge.
2. Corral Cobb: Kentucky's Randall Cobb is the kind of quarterback that has given the Vols trouble in the past. His legs are more dangerous than his arm, which means UT must be disciplined, especially up front.
3. Run, Run, Run: The Vols had their best rushing performance last week since rolling up 266 yards in a win against UAB. UT must find a way to have success again, even in the face of UK defense that will load up against the run.
4. Get Smart: UT can't get away with another performance like last week from its quarterbacks, who combined for 21 yards and two interceptions on 4-of-9 passing. Jonathan Crompton — and whoever else lines up there – must find a way to be somewhat productive while limiting negative plays.
5. Play With Pride: There's plenty to play for Saturday. There's a 23-game winning streak over UK. The Vols can avoid becoming the first UT team to lose eight games, and they've also got a chance to send their coach out a winner.

I wonder if the sports staff at KNS are forced to draw straws as to who writes this. Loser gets to do it.

I've never seen Kentucky beat Tennessee in football in my lifetime. I don't even know what that feeling is like. I don't want to know!

Coach K, get us a QB NOW!
CrankE writes:
Something simple; Commit to stopping the run. Force the freshman Cobb to beat us in the air or with his legs. That forces Cobb to go up against Eric Berry. EB can reel in INTs, he can hit like a freight train, either one favors UT.
Even if our offense is pedestrian, just don't turn it over. If we don't turn it over, then we run to set up the punt. We do still have a pretty good punter, right?
Such as it is, UT has to play towards the strengths that we do have, not moan about the ones we don't.
Are you truly only as good as your last game? Then make it a great one.
