The Vols won on Saturday, but the critics are still bringing on the Dawgs.

Here's a Monday morning look at what's being said by bloggers and sports writers about Tennessee football.

I don't know what has happened to our O-Line but they have "NO HEART." It take heart to block someone and they don't have it. We cannot run the ball if they don't block. I don't care who is running the ball. They haven't been able to run block for 2 years. I just don't know what happened.

Did the offensive line coach leave with Cut? If he did then the replacement needs replacing.

Quote: "After this weekend, NIU’s defensive numbers improved after facing the Vols. Yikes."

I have a few better words than Yikes, but I don't believe they are allowed on here. I'm sure I'll be saying them aloud by halftime of the TN-UGA game though. Just think of what those blogs would be saying if NIU had beat us, which looked like a good possibility most of the game...

This is the most inept line I have seen since I started watching VOL football. To top it off, they actually think they are good. Once again, this team has not been coached since they took the field in September and even before then. Does anyone have any insight how a team that came back virtually intact from last year be so lost this year?
I don't even think " Unsolved Mysteries" has an answer.

Greg Adkins coaches the O-line. He was promoted from tight ends coach after the crappy 2005 season. He replaced Jimmy Ray Stephens whom we got from Florida after the Spurrier years were over. Now Adkins coaching prowess has been exposed since we no longer have the dink and dunk to keep the sack numbers low. O-Line has not been very good for some time. We have the position talent we just dont have the talent to coach the position. Go Vols beat them dawgs.

As long as this current putrid coaching staff is in place, all we will ever be is the laughing stock of college football. Why Vol Nation do you continue to support the total lack of motivation, organization, and fortitude by this staff? Why? When are you going to finally realize this staff needs to be removed? When we are at the bottom of SEC and no one, and I mean NO ONE can bring us back? Is that what you want Vol Nation? Apparently so and its hard to figure. What? Wait till next year? For what? To have more ignorance? To have less heart than we already have? Fulmer has turned Tennessee into a laughing stock and its downright pathetic. Make a move to eliminate this loser before we lose everything..........makes me want to hurl chunks against the walls of Neyland Stadium..You, Vol Nation will be the biggest loser in this game if you dont get up off your lazy butts and put the heat on getting this pure joke of a head coach removed...

Face it, fans ... it is over. Change must come, and it should be sweeping. Then the next 3 years may be rough, but worthwhile.

enforce a haircut standard, and drop all the dressy tape phooey. Look like a clean, disciplined team instaad of street corner dressup.

The reason we 'recovered' last year was Mayo, Ainge, and Cutcliffe. Even with a rookie secondary, we made great strides as a team. We had VERY few mental mistakes. This season?? Week after week of dumba## play. does it matter about the hair?? of course not...except that it does. it is a gimmick to get everyone involved. everybody is the same.

hell, some of these guys with the dredlocks look like they spend more time on looking like 'predator' than they do on skills.

I don't care about the hair; the coaches gut is what they laugh about here. Phat Phil is the laughing stock of Alabama! How can you instill discipline if you don't have any yourself?
