So if Tennessee doesn't have David Cutcliffe as its offensive coordinator, does that means the Vols have no shot at beating Georgia on Saturday?

Cutcliffe is now at Duke as a head coach, which is a wonderful thing for Georgia coach Mark Richt.

It seems as if Cutcliffe was Kryptonite to the mighty Bulldogs. When Tennessee won the last two years over Georgia, after Cutcliffe came back to Tennessee in his second stint at O-coordinator, it meant the Vols had beaten Georgia 10 straight times with Cutcliffe either as quarterbacks coach or offensive coordinator.

During Cutcliffe's stint as Ole Miss' head coach, Vols head coach Phillip Fulmer went 2-5 against the Bulldogs, losing four straight from 2000-03.

Now that Cutcliffe is gone and the Vols have Dave Clawson as the O-coordinator, Richt said he hasn't even bothered looking at Georgia's most recent losses to Tennessee.

"If it had been Coach Cutcliffe back again, we'd probably spend more time watching those games and thinking about those things, but we're just looking at it as a brand-new coordinator," Richt said. "We've studied this year's stuff almost exclusively."

Another bonus for Georgia is that former Vols quarterback Erik Ainge, who went 3-1 vs. the Bulldogs, has graduated.

Ainge completed a combined 42-of-60 passes for 433 yards and two touchdowns in Tennessee's 51-33 win at Georgia in '06 and 35-14 victory last year in Knoxville.

"He (Ainge) always seemed to have our number," Georgia cornerback Asher Allen said. "He would make plays, and always make the right checks. He was very confident. He was a great player, period."
