Playing before a rowdy crowd of 2,470 at the O'Connell Center, the Tennessee volleyball dropped a three-game match to No. 9 Florida 25-22, 25-12, 25-22 Sunday afternoon.
"We played well enough to win the first and third sets, but we need to learn how to win big points and close out matches,'' UT coach Rob Patrick said. "We'll have to continue to work on that in practice by simulating those types of points if we want to get better in that area."
Nikki Fowler led Tennessee (10-8, 4-4 SEC) with 13 kills. Farren Powe had eight kills and a .462 hitting percentage.
Kelly Murphy had 12 kills to lead Florida (14-1, 8-0).
