Lanxter doubtful with knee injury
Injury woes continue to plague the Kentucky offense as receiver and former Alcoa High School standout Kyrus Lanxter was ruled doubtful for Saturday's game against Arkansas with a sprained knee.
Kentucky coach Rich Brooks said Lanxter suffered a strained medial collateral ligament in one-on-one drills Tuesday.
Lanxter, third on the Wildcats' receiving depth chart, has seven receptions in three games. He is the second Wildcat receiver to be disabled this week, after senior Dickey Lyons Jr. was ruled out for the season Monday with a knee injury.
Brooks said junior receiver DeMoreo Ford will be available Saturday. Ford has dealt with a string of injuries this season, including a sprained shoulder picked up during his only reception of the year, a 48-yard touchdown catch in the loss to Alabama on Oct. 4.
