I hope the coverage here is better than the phooey they gave us last night on ESPN Gameplan through the cable company. I missed every kick-off in the second half as well as the extra point attempt on one of the TDs and the first interception because some broadcast school flunky couldn't figure out how to cut the commercials short and return to the game. It was the single worst sporting event coverage I have ever seen in my 32 years on this planet. I was glad TN won but was unable to enjoy it due to that idiot. Sorry for the negativity, but I had to post about it somewhere.

This game could POSSIBLY be a clinic on the importance on the recruiting of SEC capable O and D linemen.

We shall indeed see, if games are won in the trenches or on the charts.

Great...now we have to wait all day before we take our beating.

You know, UT's been upset by 'Bama when UT was undefeated in years past. Perhaps this is our turn...you never know--that's why they play the game.

This is, has been, and always will be my favorite game each year. The only way UT wins is if 'Bama self-destructs and our D capitalizes for us.

I read somewhere that Cody (?) is going to be out for at least a couple of weeks. He was carted off the field and has done something to his knee. This is a GREAT opportunity for the Vols to earn some much-needed respect. A good, solid win yesterday over a MSU team that gave Auburn fits and beat Vandy the week before is a good foundation for practice this week. You know Saban is going to let his guys have it for playing close games. He strives for nothing less than perfection, and it's time for Fulmer to go all out.Pound the rock, fat boy's out, pound the rock. Receivers cannot drop balls, especially the tight ends. D has to come up big and bash Wilson's face. Don't let him get outside. 106,000+ screaming and it will be a Big Orange victory.Oh, and ANYBODY is better than that douche-bag Danielson (i.e. "NOTHER MISTAKE!! NOTHER MISTAKE!! I second your sentiments and want to add additional ones to them. Randy Smith is the worst announcer Ihave ever heard. He couldn't get names, down or distance right throughout the game. In fact, he even called the wrong names when the cameras had a close-up on the right guy. Don't know what his job is when he's not screwing up these telecasts, but I hope it's not in TV sports.

Living in Georgia I have listened to it now for over a week about Knowshon and Stafford. In fact, they go so far as to say the only reason neither of them is not going to get the Heisman is because they are on the same team and will split the vote. What phooey!!

Now I have to go through it again, since my across the street neighbor is proudly flying his Bama flag just to spite me because of my orange and white flag. I am one up on him, though, since I have an orange and white mailbox cover. Please Vols, save me from more embarrassment!

I feel your pain. I live in Athens!! Knowshon and Rennie Curran were 15 feet behind me at a concert I was at last week. I will say Rennie Curran is one of the nicest person I have ever met. After Georgia beat Tennessee I was still wearing my Tennessee shirt, just to piss off all my friends who go to UGA.

GO VOLS. BEAT BAMA.

Let's see how to look at this. 1st quarter bama will try to run us over but our defence will keep us from going too far under. 2nd quarter more of the same. 1/2 time UT 6 bama 17. 3ed bama slows, UT wake up. UT 13 bama 17. UT's d makes it a game. UT 27 bama 24 GO VOLS!

I have defended Fulmer in the past, but I am concerned. Not bailing out just yet, but we better play better in two weeks and we better beat Florida. That was just ridiculous on Monday. No adjustments on D, the passing game was flat and didn't run when we could! I was afraid if we didn't get up early that would happen. Upsets happen though and we usually don't get them done to us often. We need to really improve to compete, so we will see!

On Strange: UT 0-3 in SEC by mid-October?

Which is the real you...you claim the high ground and bash everybody else for saying the same things you did!

And about "Bama couldn't beat Louisiana Monroe last year...I think they played us...right? Whose better? Louisiiana Monroe or us?

I hope we do beat them...I'm just not sure that we are capable...we haven't been prepared at the beginning of any game yet this year and the tide comes out roaring. I will be there in my seat though...

In order for UT to win against Bama they will have to:
1) Take advantage of opportunties in the red zone to score TD's instead of settling for FG's
2) Run the football often and successfully
3) Play tight coverage against the Bama recivers as they did against MSU
4) Force John Parker to throw long. It is his biggest weakness. Short passes he is very accurate but on the long ball he is known to throw INT's.
5) As in this past game limit mistakes with penalties and turnovers
6) Use Hardesty and Creer as their 1-2 punch. I saw Foster come to a complete stop at the line of scrimmage against MSU at least twice as if he was either not sure what to do or was timid about getting hit. Maybe he is worring about the fumble issue I am not sure.
7) Play like the SEC Championship is on the line. Don't go into this game thinking about what has happened go into it thinking about what can happen.
The offense is still our biggest liability. They continued to struggle against MSU and Bama will be out to destroy UT with the BCS polls out now and style points counting more than ever. Bama has struggled all year in the 2nd half so if UT can keep it close in the 1st half they may stand a chance for an upset.
It is disappointing to once again be the underdog going into a big game. Fulmer's record against top 10 teams this decade is not a good sign.
Fulmer needs to coach like his job depends on it and it may will be.
