Don't be dismayed by the numbers. What Tennessee's list of official visitors lacks in quantity, it more than makes up in quality.
Three highly ranked prospects - defensive tackle Chris Bonds, quarterback Tajh Boyd and safety Branden Smith - are visiting this weekend.
The 6-foot-4, 265-pound Bonds is from Northeast High School in Columbia, S.C., and is considering Notre Dame, Alabama, Southern Cal, Michigan and South Carolina along with UT.
Boyd, who is 6-foot and 210 pounds, made an early commitment to West Virginia but has since opened up his recruitment.
Smith's visit is a bit surprising.
The 5-11, 170-pound Smith is from Washington High in Atlanta and is also considering Georgia, Auburn, Florida and Florida State.

why do they keep having these top recruits visiting on big games when Fulmer knows this team isnt playing good at all. which in turn not these players fault.they play the way they are coached. another bad decision on Fulmers part

Three solid players. I hope they have a great weekend and realize how special Neyland Stadium is and the entire University. I think it would be great if they could also meet Coach

Go Vols and beat the Bammers!
txvolsfan writes:
If you don't think you can win, then you might as well go ahead and go out to pasteur!!! I admire Fulmer's confidence, not to mention these guys want to come and see the best games, not a lot of recruits want to see Northern Illinois play!!!
volroadwarrior writes:
I don't care what Fulmer does. The armchair ankle biters will yip. If recruits don't visit they yip, yip, yip. If they do visit they yip, yip, yip.

Savage-
What's the scoop on these guys? Any chance we'll get a commit out of one of them this weekend?

they cant be too good if they are considering this program. Fire Fulmer.

Maybe they want to come and be buried on the bench with Brandon Warren------by their 4th or 5th year they may have a grasp of the "scheme". What a joke!

well I checked out the bonds kid on rivals. TINY! Only 260! He would be a de If he came here.
MANVOL writes:
Again we need these kids to come here so the next coach at years end will have a good crop of kids to work with. So Lets let these kids no what Neyland Stadium is all about. You don't have to wish the vols to lose so Fulmer will be replaced. He is doing a fine job of that own his own. 1/ 10 vs top 10 teams in Neyland this decade. GO VOLS!!

welove ,you pathetic moron. are you still cuddling your little phil fulmer bubble head doll? I know you cry with every negative Fulmer posts that you read on here but dont worry it will all be over with soon.

Thanks for the info. I had wondered what a DT was doing visiting.

I know I should just ignore you, I really do, but I just can't. I've stated before how ignorant you sound on every post and how I (as well as others, I would venture to guess) can't stand your unsupported posts. You speak as though for a people, but you have none behind you (or very, very few). So perhaps imploring you to stop posting as though you speak for a majority will work better. WeLoveTennesseeVols, PLEASE stop posting your nonsense. Seriously. You have lost all credibility and you only embarrass UT fans and fellow readers. I can only hope you did not ever, at any point in life, get accepted into the University of Tennessee, or its affiliates. Otherwise, I may just burn my diploma.
GreenDevilVol writes:
That is exactly correct aw.Why do you think Boyd and Bonds are here !!
For all you ney sayers, this game is crucial in Boyd's and Bonds decision, these two in particular are very HIGH on UT,and if the whispers have been in their ear,so be it.Getting these two will lead to getting 2-3 more top recruits,I feel we get both.
That happening look for Myles,Thomas, to join them.Boyd will wait til the "NEWS" comes about the change, but when that happens,he could get Heastie to join him as well(they are very tight)!! So if I were you Marlon I wouldn't wait to long on my decision.
All being said we should still get White,Moses, and Hicks.Couple that with Walls,Sykes coming in you have a good class developing at least a top 5.
Also been rumored that "if" we have a coaching change, along the whispering lines of whom we bring in; look for Authur Jeffery and Brandon Moore to come here too, these two are outside shots but have UT in their top 3-4.

Dude could you change your name to xpostervolx. Your negativity is killing me. This program is bigger than Phil Fulmer!!!
txvolsfan writes:
260 translates to 285 plus with a great weight room and training program.
OldNumber7 writes:
If recruits are looking for tradition they'll go to Notre Dame....and that isn't happening. Winning lands top billing - not old stories.
Two guys go into a bar. On one side sits a 22 year old hot, inexperienced, young woman. On the other side sits the 1978 Playboy centerfold....get my drift?

Louis Pasteur has been dead for 115 years, and is buried beneath the Institut Pasteur in Paris, (France--not Tennessee or Texas). But, my fellow Texas-based Tennessean, your point is valid, which means that we should play well enough that these recruits want to be a part of our program! SAVol

260lbs out of high school and he has the frame to add weight. IF he comes to UT they would bulk him up pretty quick. Bolden is only playing at 270-280. After seeing what they did with Vlad Richard, I could see Bonds at 290 easy.

People can complain about Saban all they want, but we all saw the first thing he stocked up on in recruiting. The guy knows where games are won and lost.

I really hope we keep Latrell Scott with the new administration. Watching OSU Vs. TX right now reminds me of how important it is to have young coaches with a fire under them to get the best players in the best possible situations. Hopefully, Fulmer will be promoted and hand off the head coaching position like a man. Bring in the best candidate with a great opportunity to succeed.

Tonights game was probably a great look for these three recruits to see that we need help. Whether or not they see it depends but they will have immediate playing time. Come to UT boys and make us proud.
