Fulmer kicks off QB club meetings
Phillip Fulmer may not want to dwell on it, but he gets to talk about it a little more.
The University of Tennessee football coach kicks off a season of Knoxville Quarterback Club meetings as the first featured speaker Monday at Calhoun's on the River.
Fulmer will talk about UT's 27-24 season-opening overtime loss at UCLA and expectations going into Saturday's home opener against UAB.
Other speakers scheduled this year are:
n Former Michigan coach Lloyd Carr (Sept. 15).
n CBS college football analyst Gary Danielson (Sept. 22).
n UT offensive coordinator Dave Clawson (Sept. 29).
n Sportswriter Tony Barnhart (Oct. 6).
n Former Georgia coach and TV analyst Jim Donnan (Oct. 13).
n Sporting News columnist Matt Hayes (Nov. 17).
n Former UT broadcaster John Ward and former UT quarterback Tee Martin (Oct. 27).
n Former UT player and TBS college football analyst Charles Davis (Nov. 3).
n Former UT coach Johnny Majors (Nov. 10).
n UT defensive coordinator John Chavis (Nov. 17),
n Recruiting analysts Jamie Newburg of rivals.com and Tom Lemming Prep Football Report (Nov. 24).
n Fulmer (Dec. 1).
Each week, high school players of the week, officials and "yesterday's hero" from UT will be recognized at the meeting.
