Tailback David Oku will take an official visit to Tennessee this weekend and has postponed his Wednesday press conference to announce his college decision.
Oku said via text messages to the News Sentinel that he will wait to announce his decision until his father, Bo Oku, returns home from serving in Iraq in mid-October.
The delay would seem to give UT significant hope less than a week after Oku had all but ruled out the Vols.
“Tennessee somewhat, but not that much though,” Oku told the News Sentinel when asked about schools he was considering late last week.
The 5-foot-10, 185-pounder from Carl Albert High School in Midwest City, Okla., is also considering Louisville, Michigan and Nebraska.

I think this game will be closer than people think...all depends on if Chavis will stick everyone in the box or not. Let Tebow burn us with his arm...are 2ndary is supposed to be one of the best in the S.E.C. Let's see'em man up on them the whole game.

is that a ky fan talking smack on a ut football site. reagan was in office the last time you beat tn. and it was his first term.
IBleedOrange444 writes:
Somebody that's going to the game should make a sign for this guy and the other visitors. "Welcome to Knoxville. Come to Tennessee!" That may leave a good impression on them.
All these guys are supposed to be in for the game:
1. Jarvis Giles - RB, Tampa, Fla. (committed)
2. David Oku - RB, Midwest City, Okla.
3. Josh Nunes - QB, Upland, Calif. (committed)
4. Je'Ron Stokes - WR, Philadelphia, Penn. (committed)
5. Stephon Gilmore - DB, Rock Hill, SC.
6. Devonte Holloman - S, Rock Hill, SC.
7. Will Hill - DE, Williamsburg,VA
There may be more, but that's all I could find.
It sure would be nice to pull the upset. I bet those kids have never seen anything near the pandemonium that would take over Knoxville after a win of that magnitude!

Lets rock out Neyland Stadium and give this guy the Rocky Top experience. WE the fans can help our guys pull out a win. I just know it!!!!!!!

PLEASE don't tear down the goalposts if we win. I know that's probably the biggest "if" of all time, but act like we've been there before.
Wait what am I talking about, there's no way we'll win..... sooo nevermind.

Some of the unofficial visitors scheduled to be here Saturday.
Euclid Cu**ings DE 3*
Marlon Brown 4* WR
Will Hill 3* DT
DeAntre Rhodes 3* DE
Peter White 4* OG
Eric Gordon 4* DB
Morgan Moses 5* OT
Logan Thomas 5* ATH/TE/WR may also make it but isn't a definate. The others should all make it unless something unforseen happens.
TNfaninMS , I said Askew was a possibility, but he cahanged his visit date to Oct 4th.We will now be his last visit I believe and I think that bodes well for the Vols.We are still the top team for Oku IMO, and think he's kinda pulling a Brandon McGee.If it hadn't leaked that he was a silent I think he would have been Orange today.

robvols , I think it really only hurts recruiting if you get whipped.Especially at home.

especially if the crowd is dead silent and leaving early...in the event of a whoopin that is.

.......if we don't start recruiting again like we use to we will keep going down hill on the rest of the SEC. Recruiting is the most important part of coaching and we don't have the edge anymore. Good luck to the Vols on Sat. but we are going in under manned and under talented.

The vegas line opened at Flordia-8. It has immediately bet down to FL-7. Someone in vegas dropped big money on the vols. 70 percent of the public is on Flordia. The line goes to 7.5 and then right back down to 7. Big money is on the vols and big money wins 65 percent of the time. Its going to be a close game, if we execute we could win. FL's defense is not "great". We can run on them...we have to establish the run and pound the rock and keep our defense fresh. We just need Crompton not to screw up, just manage the game. Make a 5 yard pass on 3rd and 4. Our WR's need more seperation, they looked lazy and had the "we cant lose this game" attitutde during the UCLA game. Crompton needs to put more touch on the ball, he throws a bullet every time. " Has a good deep ball" though. If we fix the above things we will win. If not we will lose a close game or get blown away, I think we come out fired up, Fulmer needs it, certain individuals who "quit" need it, its going to be closer than some vol fans think, i.e. Georgia last year...sketchy vegas line that game too. 33-30 vols win

ImissJay-
Did any of the casinos actually open the line at 8? I think that the LVSC (Las Vegas Sports Consultants) opened it at 8, but not the casinos. The LVSC sets early lines for all the games a day or two before the casinos open with a line. I think that all the casinos opened the line at 7.5 or 7. I could be wrong though.
