Tennessee is expecting a number of visitors this weekend as the Vols host Florida at Neyland Stadium on Saturday.

Here are the prospects who have confirmed their plans to visit officially:

Je’Ron Stokes – 6-foot-1, 180-pound wide receiver from Northeast High School in Philadelphia, Pa.

Jarvis Giles – 6-foot, 185-pound tailback from Gaither High School in Tampa, Fla.

David Oku – 5-foot-10, 185-pound tailback from Carl Albert High School in Midwest City, Okla.

Will Hill – 6-foot-4, 260-pound defensive end from Lafayette High School in Williamsburg, Va.

Two players have confirmed their plans to take unofficial visits to UT this weekend:

Josh Nunes – 6-foot-4, 211-pound quarterback from Upland (Calif.) High School

Marlon Brown – 6-foot-5, 205-pound wide receiver from Harding Academy in Memphis

The Vols are expecting more to join the list by the end of the week.

yep, Florida's biggest recruiting weekend this year. O yea UT's also

DennisVols writes:

Lets show these young men what being a Vol is all about. A win against the Gator in the passionate Neyland stadium setting could go a long way not only with these recruits but what they may tell others on UT radar about their experience here.

We don't have to be liked, we don't have to be loved. Fans, you don't even have to believe in us, you can cuss us, fuss at us, but what are you gonna do if we win one?? Cuss us for the next one, call it luck?? Remember we are not paying attention to your raves and antics, we are about the business of playing football. We will be here long after the likes of you are gone. And all of the funny men , like John Adams, and Gator fans, Fulmer haters etc. You guys are insignificant, and the smaller you get, the more fussing you make. Just like Obama!!

bluetick writes:

Nice welove.. agreed. I guess there isn't much talk on the gator boards and why they feel the need to come here.. who knows. Takes no skin off of my hide.

Cowboy where do you get your information from ?

Once they see the atmosphere in K-Town and hear the crowd for the first time during a game, they'll love it!

volunteer_cowboy writes:

My info is on scout and rivals!!!!

ravensearay writes:

In about 60 hours we will know how good our guys are. By then we will have beaten Florida and basking in the afterglow of that victory. We will savor it for a day and then start to work on Auburn. But let's not get ahead of ourselves.....Play this game like the Champions you are...

Fulmer will haver em ready?? boo-hoo

no volunteer is correct i saw it on rivals as well.

knoxlawvol writes:

volunteer_cowboy is correct. This was supposed to be our biggest in-season recruiting weekend of the year. Either the Great Pumpkin has rethought inviting recruits to the big pumpkin-thumping this weekend, or this story is extremely poorly researched. I guess it is possible that most of those recruits canceled their visists after our first two showings.

Lofton4Three writes:

Mike Hamilton has sent out an email to Sony, Vizio, Samsung, and others to demanding that HD be dropped so he can fill Neyland Stadium.

We can get all excited about having good recruits in here, but once they get in orange...and Fulmer and company get their hands on them, we will be the same old team. And our fans will still be sitting in Neyland getting spoonfed phooey.

What Hamilton has done with his ludicrous contract extensions for Fulmer has instilled that complacency(8 wins is enough) is okay for a big time SEC program. Oh and drawing 80,000 is okay too. But don't tell him we're settling for complacency...oh no the problem lies in those darned HD televisions...stupid 21st century...

VolFanNC writes:

So a big win and we have a chance at landing all these recruits....I am guessing that a loss means a bad recruiting year....

Fulmer usuaully pulls one out that he is supposed to lose, so hopefully this is it. Although, I normally defend Fulmer, a loss here probably means he will have to leave the same way as Lloyd Carr left Michigan....

Don't bet on Hamilton going way outside of the program. My guess is he would go after the new HC of Duke first, although would like to have Mike Belotti of Oregon or Jim Grobe of Wake (I can't believe what he has done with the lack of recruiting.)

But I digress, my belief is that TN has invested everything in this game, they have been game planning for this one all year and they do have the athletes to win this or at least compete, it will depend on Crompton and coaching. If Crompton struggles in the first half, hopefully they will have the guts to throw in Stephens....hopefully they will stick with what works....if the game is in the 20's TN will win, if it turns to a 30+ point game, then it will be trouble.

Lofton4Three writes:

If our next head coach is Cutcliffe...we can expect the same program as a Miss. State, KY, and Vandy. That would be a joke. I'm not so sure Hamilton will get to hire the next coach. If this torrid pace we are setting on the football field continues, ole Mikey will be out the door with Fulmer, Chavis, and the rest of the inept squad.

Fellow VOL fans from this great state of Tennessee.
Our next coach, whomever, and whenever needs to come from the NFL. My choice would be;

Bill Cowher
jon Gruden

Where is Savage? Have heard rumors that DT William Campbell that decommitted from Michigan is interested in UT. Anyone know anything about him and if the rumor is true?

Cowboy – are you saying that all the people listed are going to be there is this weekend, or that they were supposed to be? I also had heard that we expected 20+ unofficial visitors for the Florida Game.

Bluetick – I saw a note from you on a different thread that I was not your “Lady”. My logon is named for my baby. Her registered name is Smokey’s Sister Sophie and she is 100% blue tick hound! She looks just like Smokey.

Hope Al Wilson will be there too.

Blueticklady... I'm not savage by any means but heard Campbell is interested in UT but most people think he will end up back at Michigan. He's already got a teammate there and has another teammate close to commiting. But staranger things have happened. We sure could use him. Can't remember when the last time we signed a 5* DT. He could play IMMEDIATELY.

I did hear that we were the team to beat for Chris Bonds 4* DT out of SC. We are in good shape with Drummond also.

jmbigorange#280428 writes:

marblevol... I like those choices. Also Bronco Mendenhal would be worth a look. Imagine what he could do with UTs talent.

Savage any feel on Marlon? Also whats the word on Hill?

Thanks

And none of these guys wanted to visit during the UAB game? Interesting, lol. The word I here on Brown is that it's btw UT and Southern Cal. The lean more to USC.

Volin68 writes:

jmbigo and marble, I think you've both lost your marbles! NFL head coach to TN...pipe dreams and you both should definitely stay away from the pipe. Get some fresh air and your mind should clear...maybe.

volunteer_cowboy writes:

I have just 1 question or prayer, whichever. Is there any chance of the Fed bailing tennessee out of all this mess (Fulmers Contract) like it did AIG, Fannie and Freddie, and Bears and Sterns.
