Georgia guard Lindsey Moss, who played the 2005-06 season at Tennessee before transferring, is leaving the Lady Bulldogs to pursue career opportunities in the modeling and real estate industries.
"An opportunity arose and that's what she's chosen to do,'' Georgia coach Andy Landers said in a Georgia release. "We respect her decision."
Moss, a junior, played in 17 games last year. She averaged 1.9 points and 1.1 rebounds in 8.2 minutes of action per game.
Hall For Landers: Landers has been selected for another hall of fame.
Landers, who is from Maryville, is being inducted into the state of Georgia's Sports Hall of Fame next year. The four-time National Coach of the Year honoree was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in Knoxville last year.
"It's flattering because Georgia is a state that has such a storied tradition of people with outstanding athletic accomplishments,'' Landers said. "It's an honor just to be considered, and obviously I'm thrilled to be chosen."
Landers reached the 700-victory plateau last season and is the winningest college basketball coach in the history of the state of Georgia.

Why can the KNS not use a spell checker? How hard is it to turn spell checker on automatically and when you type a word wrong, it us underlined. DOES THE EDITOR NOT SEE THE STORY BEFORE IT GETS IN THE PAPER.

eh - Lindsey Moss is not really news - she wasn't even news when she left the Lady Vols.

C'mon givem a break the spellchecker was on break at the vending machine. Sometimes these things happen and they can't be controlled. My recommendation is have a backup for breaks.
I remember Lindsey as a decent shooter who had a problem with foot speed. Wish her well in her new endeavors.

I wonder if she regrets leaving Tennessee... Lets see, playing time at Georgia...very little. Scoring average at Georgia...very little. National Championships at Georgia...not even close...Yea, I'd say she has regrets.
