Stokes stoked after visit despite loss to Florida

Having been to Knoxville several times, Je’Ron Stokes knows the area. This weekend, it was Neyland Stadium he wanted to get to know.

Consider the two formally introduced.

“I got to see the game day atmosphere,” said Stokes, who committed to Tennessee in April. “It was great. It was definitely an experience.”

An impressive compliment for Neyland Stadium considering UT’s disappointing 30-6 loss to Florida on Saturday. Still, the 6-foot-1, 178-pound receiver from Northeast High School in Philadelphia said he wasn’t complaining about any aspect of his official visit.

“It’s been real good,” said Stokes. “I’m enjoying myself.”

Stokes’ official visit to Knoxville will likely be his last, although UT’s first commitment of the 2009 class admitted he’s considering an official visit elsewhere.

“I don’t know right now,” Stokes said. “Even if I did (take an official visit to another school), I’m still a Tennessee Volunteer.”

Stokes said if he took another official visit, it would be to Florida State or a school in California, where some of his family resides.

Stay in the boat boys. If we win out will that silence the critics or John Adams' negativism? No! These people want us to lose , they have invested time and emotions in our defeat. Life people who want us to lose a war. Sounds familiar doesn't it. Pigs will always be pigs.
