UT free safety Demetrice Morley interviews strong safety Eric Berry ... and then Berry turns it around on Morley in a surprise interrogation. (This video was shot during preseason media availability.) Watch »
In case you haven’t noticed, Tennessee’s defensive backs have decided to sport Mohawk haircuts and inscribe insignias in their hair.
Wait. You’ve probably noticed.
“I’m getting addicted to it,” sophomore cornerback Brent Vinson said. “Every week we’ll have something different.”
The Vols’ new doos will be on display again against Auburn on Saturday. UT’s secondary goes as a group to the barbershop late in the week before each game.
Vinson and sophomore safety Eric Berry went with their jersey numbers in their hair last week against Florida. However, junior safety Demetrice Morley stole the show with a power ‘T,’ according to Vinson.
Senior cornerback DeAngelo Willingham is the only defensive back who hasn’t taken the hair plunge yet.
“We’re going to make him get one this week,” Vinson said.
How about one for coach Phillip Fulmer?
“I couldn’t do it if I wanted to,” Fulmer said, referring to his somewhat receding hairline.

i wouldnt ever hate on some players having a good time who produce on the field. our secondary is playing great when put in a scheme they can showcase their talents. have fun this season guys! berry, you're the sh!z! good to see even foolmer can make fun of himself. i actually almost laughed w. him instead of at him this time.

yeah, ok welovetenn, USC lost to oregon st so that proves demands for foolmer's job are ridiculous. you win. d****t, i hate it when you're right, you're always doing that!

Carroll could do more with our talent than our current coaching staff.

Pretty sad when folks think the UT defense is a bright spot when Florida scored on 5 of 7 possesions and only had to punt 1 time. Also check out the 3rd down conversion rate against or bright spot. It's terrible!

"Yes ma'am. I need the police over here at the Wheatley house.
I've killed somebody with a mower blade.
Yes ma'am, I'm right sure of it. I hit him two good whacks. That second time just plumb near cut his head in two.
Hits a little old yeller house right on the corner of Marigold Street and some other street. They's a red pickup truck out front says DOYLE HARGRAVE CONSTRUCTION on it. I'll be a settin' here waitin' on ye. Beside sendin' the police, Doyle said you might want to send a ambulance or a hearse.
Thank ye."

You seem to not understand anything about why MANY UT fans are digruntled. The truth is, Pete Carrol is a great coach, and his team is ALWAYS competetive. No one wins every game. Us disgruntled UT fans do not expect the Vols to win every game. We do expect out team to at least look and be competetive on the field. It wouldn't bother me nearly as much to lose to UF by 3 points or even 7 points. But when the score is as lopsided as it has been in the past 2 years, lospided score when Bamma pounded us last year, lopsided score when Cal exploded on us this year, unable to beat a terrible UCLA team...and the list goes on an on, it is a clear sign this team is not cometetive at all, and the coaching staff is NOT getting players ready for the game or utilizing the talent to its full potential.
So what,if USC lost by a touchdown? If UT were to fall behind 21-0 as did USC, UT would have folded and fell apart because the coaches do not know how to coach players up and get them through adverse situations. USC lost, but at least they were in the game.
So go crawl back in your hole and love your mediocrity all you want. I for one am not willing to settle for that.

why all the fashion articles on this site?

We love this is a dishonest post. We do care who we lose to. It use to be about always playing to the competition line that everyone used. Only the last two years has the blow out line been used. If UT had lost an opportunity to play for the NC because we lost to Vandy or Miss St.(equivalent to Stanford or Oregon St.)everyone would be screeming about the team not being prepared when the stakes were so high. The reality is fans are demanding and expect their team to be playing at an NC level all the time. Unfortunately for Fulmer UT hasn't played at an NC level anytime since 2001.
