Skinns names Hooters Tour Player of the Year

Former University of Tennessee golfer David Skinns was named the Hooters Tour's Player of the Year on Sunday after the season-ending Hilton Garden Inn Classic in Choctaw, Miss.

Skinns, the tour's leading money winner ($134,809) by more than $40,000, won three times this season.

Former Austin Peay golfer Grant Leaver (66) won the tournament. Former Vol Phillip Pettitt Jr. (72) tied for 15th.
