Its a really interesting article as well. She is something special.

I've had the issue for a week, maybe ten days? KNS once again is on the cutting edge.

She is a beautiful lady. Motherhood agrees with her. She is very successful after her collegiate career. Way to go Mrs. Candace Parker, always a lady vol in my book.

I've had mine for more like twenty days. I'm starting to agree that the KNS is hurting for coverage but at least the site is free.

Candace has been quoted that their kids' blood will be all ORANGE like hers. Sheldon probably doesn't rock the boat because he knows he is lucky to have what he's got

Have we made a scolarship offer yet?

I can't understand why she's not all over the TV with endorsements - talent, looks, well-spoken - the MJ of women's basketball. What product wouldn't want her as a spokesperson? guess after the kid, maybe.

Beautiful!!!!! And, it is old news. I received that ESPN magazine about a month ago. KNS is really on their toes eh?

dobber writes:

I just hope she is in control of Sheldon like most married couples are so she can tell him that there child is going to UT period....

boy- UT
girl- UT

If she sent her kid for a UT visit, you guys would gripe that she didn't deliver twins. Just shut up and appreciate what you do get.

For that matter, I thought I read somewhere, maybe on here, that Candace had filmed a promo for ESPN to run during basketball season, but I never saw it. Wonder what happened there? Agree that she should be all over the media with commercials and such, but she WAS awfully busy on the court last year.

This makes me laugh! VolinIndy too.

I think that would be a fascinating discussion or poll: Which old item of news will KNS report next?

My money is on this: Peyton Manning is playing for the Colts now, and he is pretty good!

Just to clear things up, Candace has been on the TV a lot lately. She does have endorsement deals with Gatorade, Adidas, and McDonalds. Her Gatorade ads and McDonalds ads have both been running on the TV for the past few months. Adidas will be releasing her new signature shoe this summer and she has an ad campaign with Adidas right now entitled "Me, Myself". The ESPN "This is Sportscenter" commercial is suppose to start running when the WNBA starts again. Hope that helps out.

A little OT here....as a fan, I have NO DESIRE to see women's basketball be like the men's game. I don't want to see the fights, the tatoos, the showboating horsecrap. When I want to watch good team basketball, I watch the women. When I want to watch a freak show, I watch the men.

IMHO, the women's game is at a cross-roeads: either they FLUANT the fact they are women, they play for the team, and they play clean, or they go down the thug road of the men's game and come off like a bunch of minor-league wannabees.

This applies to both the college and pro games. Again IMHO, the college and pro women's bball organizations need to start MARKETING the game to women. A specific group of women: moms with kids, moms who want to take the kids to see sportsmanship, exciting play, fashion....and maybe to girls 26 and older who just might want to go to do something female-oriented. Make the whole experience geared to women. Guys will still go, wherever their are women, guys show up.

I'd really like to see the women on this chat board chime in on this one.

Thanks for the info. I have seen her briefly in the Gatorade commercials, but not the McDonalds one. Guess it makes the most sense to run most of her stuff during the WNBA season. And yeah, she is GORGEOUS on that ESPN mag cover!

She's having a girl?! That's awesome. That baby is very fortunate to have such a decorated and well respected mommy. Now, are there any NCAA rules on offering a LOI to a newborn? LOL
