The University of Tennessee is expecting the second-largest spring-game crowd in school history today to welcome new coach Lane Kiffin.
The Orange and White Game kicks off at Neyland Stadium at 3 p.m., but there's plenty for fans to do before that.
Fans Day activities will be held at Haslam Field from 11:15 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Haslam Field is on Johnny Majors Drive next to the Neyland-Thompson Sports Complex.
The first 7,500 fans will receive a free fan pack.
The Vol Walk to the stadium leaves the Neyland-Thompson Complex at 1:30 p.m.
The route has been altered due to construction at the stadium.
The team will walk to the torchbearer on Volunteer Boulevard as usual but continue on to Andy Holt Aveune and turn right to Phillip Fulmer Way, entering the stadium at Gate 21.
The construction will also limit the seating available for the game.
UT spokesman Bud Ford said early ticket sales indicate the crowd will top the 31,500 that saw the 1988 spring game.
The record is 73,801 in 1986.
Tickets are $5 - UT students get in free with ID - and will be sold at the Thompson-Boling Arena ticket office from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
Ticket sales will start at noon at Gates 10 and 21 at the stadium.
Net proceeds benefit the John C. Hodges Library.
Will Call will be available the arena ticket office from 10-11:45 a.m. and at Gate 21 after noon.
Entrance Gates are 2, 4, 6, 10, 21, 23 and 26.
Free parking is available at G-3, G-4 and G-5 lots off Lake Loudoun Boulevard, the 11th Street Garage and the G-10 Garage off Neyland Drive.
Fans who ordered the Vol Pack can pick up their "Camp Kiffin" shirts and poster at Haslam Field beginning at 10 a.m.
The Vol Network will broadcast the game on radio. SportSouth will televise a taped replay Sunday at 8 p.m.

Won't make it up to the Hill from here in W. Tenn. I'll be checking in periodically to see if anyone will update us. I know it's the Orange and White game, but I like the enthusiasm of a real game. Hopefully, we'll get a sense of progress of the team by halftime.

any chance this will be broadcast similar to the broadcast of that practice a few weeks back?

Did mommy not give you enough hugs? I've been reading posts here for some time and continually see your vein attempts at sophomoric (look it up) humor. What a pathetic excuse for a life you must have to take pleasure in making antagonistic comments from the anonymity of the dark, cramped corner of your trailer. Here's some advice: cut the mullet, brush your teeth, put on a shirt, lose the flipflops and maybe, just maybe, you'll find a girl to occupy your time. I pity you.

Are they trying to ruin it by presenting the former head gangster something at halftime?

Not at all clear that he is even a real human being, just a disembodied spirit of scorn and negativity(;-P)!

No! You are by not letting this take place. Coach Fulmer will drift off into anonymity after this till a time of healing takes place. I just wish He and Coach Majors(ball in his court) could be amicable toward one another. I know wishful thinking.
On topic, the game drew about 51k today. Listened on internet to 2nd half. The fall sessions are going to be very interesting to say the least.
