Tennessee received a commitment Friday from defensive tackle Risean Broussard from LaGrange High School in Lake Charles, La.
The 6-foot-2, 290-pound Broussaid he chose UT over Alabama, Oklahoma and Texas.
Broussard, who was primarily recruited by UT defensive line coach Ed Orgeron, is a key commitment for the Vols as they have placed a high priority on signing defensive tackles in 2010.
Broussard is the second prospect from Lake Charles to say he’ll play for Lane Kiffin’s staff at UT.
The Vols signed defensive back Janzen Jackson from Barbe High School in the 2009 class.
Broussard is UT’s second commitment for the 2010 class. Defensive end Jacques Smith from Ooltewah High School committed to the Vols on Feb. 4.
