the offense looked good but kiffin said in an interview "I basically had the answers to the test." He meant he knew what defense was being called, so he took control of this most of the time!

Good memories when I coached my sons in flag football. The coaches were allowed on the field to help the 5 & 6 old players be in the right place when lining up. Looking forward to the fall to see what these young men have learned.

Quinton Hancock.. BJ Coleman.. Toney Williams, Tauren Poole, Brandon Warren all was outstanding..

The interview afterward looked very awkward for LK. Not much personality going on there..

Remember when giving your opinionated grade that it wouldn't be a fair assessment to compare them to themselves[last year], you have to go abroad and in that regard anything more than a "C" would be very generous.

QB play was very erratic, turnovers and inaccuracy were very prevalent for this group. Gotta take a grade away for their play alone. Couple that with an offensive line that seemingly wasn't able to pass block all spring, take a grade for that as well...special teams were not very good either. For a good period of time a few receivers went missing, inconsistent play plagued several positions. Don't want to sound all negative, there was some very bright spots for the team and I see improvements but they have a long way to go...by grading it an "A" or a "B" is saying that they are not far off, we all know that is not the truth...Go Vols!!!

I'm looking for improvement. Not personality.

Switching the QB's throughout the game makes it hard to develop any rhythm with the receivers. I saw several passes that should have been caught. Trying to be objective during this whole process I did notice plenty of good things especially from the running backs and the lines ability to open holes. Williams is a horse and will wear any defense down. He hits you like a fullback except he is carrying the ball.
I like the halftime piece during the game tonight. It really showed the intensity this staff has installed and how this team is responding to what they are being taught.
Expect the defense to give the offense good field position during the games with quick 3 & outs and turnovers. With every play they are trying to get the ball back to the offense.
All in all there was improvement with more to come by the 1st kick off. This team is not ready but at the same time they are continuing to improve with each practice. The challenge now is to stay focused, continue to work out, learn the playbook, and to spend their time wisely. What happens over the next 4 months will have a greater bearing on what happens this season than what has happened so far. CLK has already made examples of what he is willing to do if a player doesn’t give his all for UT on and off the filed.

I THINK THERE WERE SOME BRIGHT SPOTS,B.J.COLEMAN LOOKED BETTER THEN THE OTHER TWO QBS,D.MOORE MADE SOME GOOD CATCHES,B.WARREN,AND TONEY WILLIAMS LOOKED GOOD,THERE IS NO WONDER WHY LENNON CREER LEFT WE ARE LOADED IN THE BACKFIELD,WITH WILLIAMS,POOLE,HARDESTY,OKU,BROWN,NOW WE NEED SOME LINEMEN TO BLOCK FOR THEM,WE NEED D-LINEMAN,AND A COUPLE OF BIG TIME PLAY MAKING WRS.I THINK WE WILL GET ALOT OF OUR NEEDS FILLED IN THIS NEXT CLASS,BUT OVER ALL WE LOOKED PRETTY GOOD,IM GOING TO SAY 8-4 THIS YEAR.

Its hard to judge anything by the practice reports from KNS. They are as vanilla as the Orange and White game was. Overall I guess a B, and I base that mostly off of attitude and comments of the players.

The players' opinions are the ones that really count wrt CLK's personality. They seem to really like playing for him.

Being there on Saturday was great, but the jury is still out. That said, Williams, Poole, Warren, and Hancock were playing lights out. I still think we need to name a starting QB and let the chips fall where they may! Even Crompton MOST of time looked like a different QB than in 08!

Can't wait to say, "...It's Football Time in TENNESSEE...."
