Polk named SEC player of the week

Tennessee sophomore left fielder P.J. Polk was named SEC baseball player of the week Monday after going .455 at the plate against No. 1 ranked LSU this past weekend.

Polk was 5-for-11 with three RBIs and a home run.His two-run homer on Sunday helped the Vols earn a 9-4 series-clinching victory at Baton Rouge.

He hit .500 for the week and has a seven-game hitting streak.
