A pair of Tennessee football players underwent arthroscopic knee surgery on Wednesday.
Defensive end Chris Walker and tailback Toney Williams both had procedures on their left knees at UT Medical Center.
“Both of these players will be ready to participate in off-season workouts beginning in June,” UT head athletic trainer Jason McVeigh said in a statement. “Neither is expected to miss any time during the season.”
Walker, a junior, earned most improved player honors on defense this spring and coaches called him “unblockable” on multiple occasions.
Williams, a true freshman, enrolled early and finished spring practice as the third tailback on UT’s depth chart.
