Tennessee women's basketball associate head coach Holly Warlick and UCLA coach Nikki Caldwell will be hitting the road again to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer.
Their third annual motorcycle ride will be a 1,500-mile round trip along the Natchez Trace with stops everywhere from Nashville to New Orleans. The kickoff event will be a short ride on May 2 that will start and finish at Wild Wing Cafe in Farragut.
"We want to ride thousands of miles to raise thousands of dollars to recruit thousands of people to join the fight against breast cancer,'' Warlick said.
The fund-raising collaboration began when Caldwell was an assistant coach at UT. The inaugural ride was from San Francisco to Knoxville. Last year was a round trip to Key West. Warlick and Caldwell have traveled more than 6,000 miles, and the venture has contributed to the nearly $100,000 raised by the charitable organization Champions for a Cause.
