GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Forward Alex Tyus has decided to return to the Florida basketball program, changing his mind about 10 days after announcing plans to transfer.
The school announced Tyus’ about-face Tuesday, but gave no immediate reason for the decision.
The sophomore from St. Louis was Florida’s second-leading scorer at 12.5 points per game and leading rebounder at 6.2 per game last season. The 6-foot-8 Tyus played out of position all year, having to line up at center on an undersized team, and had decided to transfer because he wanted to play small forward.
Tyus was the fifth player to leave Donovan’s program in the last five months, joining guard Jai Lucas, forward Allan Chaney, guard Nick Calathes and incoming freshman DeShawn Painter. Tyus is the first to come back.

i have no clue what the hell is going on with the program right now and i don't know what happened that this soap opera type stuff exists.
very sad for a program that achieved something at a school that i thought was next to impossible.

Let's not even go there. Both schools could have a long list of players that have departed early or stayed when they could have left. For example, Peyton Manning. For example, Channing Chowder. Each person does what they feel is best for them.

from a talent standpoint, i am glad he is back as he is better than several other players on that roster.
from a three ring circus standpoint, i am not happy he is coming back.
hopefully, he makes the most of it.
but, if he has any "issues" during the season, i will not be amused.
