News Sentinel's Edwards joins UT staff

Former Knoxville News Sentinel sports writer Drew Edwards has joined the Tennessee athletics department as the assistant director of Internet communications.

Edwards will write feature stories for the UTSports.com and UTLadyVols.com Web sites on a wide range of topics surrounding Tennessee Athletics, its athletes and its coaches.

“UTSports.com and UTLadyVols.com are great platforms to provide the most in-depth and behind-the-scenes information to our audience,” athletic director Mike Hamilton said. “Edwards’ skills as a sportswriter and experience in working with the Web will be a great asset for us as we work to improve our content for fans.”
