Tennessee freshman cornerback Eric Gordon did not practice Tuesday because of unresolved initial-eligibility issues.

'The (NCAA) Clearinghouse took him off the field,'' coach Lane Kiffin said after practice and did not elaborate.

Gordon joins classmates Marlon Walls and James Green in being held up by the Clearinghouse. Unlike Walls and Green, Gordon reported to campus and practiced through the first week.

The Nashville Hillsboro product was ranked among the top 20 cornerback prospects in the nation by Rivals.com.
