Tennessee tailback Bryce Brown was suited in full gear as he headed to the practice field on Tuesday afternoon. However, it's unclear how much the freshman will practice after suffering what is thought to be a minor leg injury on Monday.

Great to have this tough young man on the team... we need you Bryce! Go Vols!

I admire the toughness. Sends a clear message to the rest of the team that he is a team player not a prima donna. Just don't over do it proving a point, I'm not sure you have to now...

We don't "need" him for the first two, though.
gbeejr#1354500 writes:
Apparently his recent hip injury was not a big deal. B.Brown is asking for no quarter. He came here with a lot of hype about his abilities, but I think he is showing that we can hype his toughness too.

After last year we need all we can get just ask Wyoming

we need him against UCLA. a few first downs last year and we win.

Everyone keeps bringing up the '08 Wyoming debacle. Yes, it was a game in which Wyoming shouldve never been in. Was this not the first game after which CPF was told he wouldn't be back?? Go back and look at the game (if you can stomach it). That team laid down. There's not much else you can say about it.

A great article about Monte. Theses players must be having a blast with him around.

Mental and physical toughness builds charter. Kiffin and staff have installed the most mentally and physically tough spring and fall camps UT has experienced in many years. The competitive way this team is being subjected to means you have to earn your way onto the field. That creates drive to be successful which in turn develops a winning attitude.

And a second half defensive game plan that didn't play defenders 10 - 20 yards off the receivers (to let them get back into the game).

I love it! Good to know they are having a good time in the middle of the hardest practices. I cannot wait for September 19th, 2009!!!

If you had any character...you would know what "charter" is. It's a typo.

If you have nothing better to do than talk about a subject that you know nothing about then go back in your play room and turn on your video games.
I on the other hand know more about the physical and mental preparation necessary to become a champion than you could even imagine.
All you ever seem to do is come on this site and put down players of this team and the fans that support it.
This shows you have no character or class and your opinions are at the mental level of a short bus rider.

DaBoy wrote:"I do know that during the past 6 years Tenn has won 10 games 3 times, 9 games 1 time and has played in 2 SEC title games. Does not sound like they did not know what they where doing to me."
The last 10 win season was 2004. Since then there have been 2 losing season, one of which UT was predicted to win the SEC and a possible shot at the national title before the season started. I also remember the number of arrests of the current players on those teams going back to the 2001 season which was another year in which UT did not live up to their potential.
So yes I know a lot about football and even more about life and making winners. Under coach Fulmer the discipline had long since gone astray and it cost this team greatly over the last decade.
So come bacl when you actually know something other than a few baseless stats that without any supporting facts are meaningless.

There are only about 10-12 days worth of heavy hitting opportunities left this camp. At some point, we've got to lick our preseason wounds and begin the healing process for the grind ahead...Go Vols
cmoore7 writes:
I repeat, we don't need him for the first two. We need him for the entire season. We should have/could have ran the ball, with the rb's we had last year, the entire game against UCLA and won by 3 scores, but instead the Clawfence was used.

If nothing else; this year the opposition won't be outcoaching us.. We got beat many times in the last couple of seasons by lesser teams with better game plans!! It also didn't help by having the most predictable offense in football. FLA and GA players even went as far as saying they knew our next play as they were leaving the huddle..THOSE DAYS ARE GONE!! Now we have great coordinators and assistants to bring along these new recruits and get the bestplayer on the field.. Can't Wait!!! Go Vols!!
TWhite11 writes:
Agreed, coaching has been UTs downfall the last few years. Our coaching formations and plays were outdated, and could not keep up with the great coaching the sec has, now I think that has changed with kiffins squad.
onevolfan99 writes:
amatuers huh' I see you did your research considering all the jewelry these coaches have on their fingers. but i guess every coach has a super bowl ring(monty and Chaney) and a national championship ring(lane and coach O, possibly more but I don't know).do research before you post. you just look stupid.
