we may never know.

If a bullfrog had wings...oh! That's not what they're asking. I don't know who much it will hurt the offense.LOL! Seriously, we know Kiffin had some plays designed for Bryce, but, we don't know how many plays per game. It is always nice to have everybody available, so who knows? GO VOLS!!!!

the NCAA loves to flex its muscle..Brown WILL be suspended at least 2 games just so they can show their power....

That can't be good. It looks as if we are going to have to rely on a freshman or two to contribute. I hate high ankle sprains, they are bothersome. ESPN said that he would try to be back for the UCLA game. Hopefully, he can get healed up quickly. GO VOLS!!!

ThaiVolFan writes:

I think the crucial thing about Bryce playing the first two games is the acclimation period. He will be better prepared for our game down in the swamp if he is allowed to have a couple of tune up games. However, I don't have much faith in the NCAA. I hope we dodge the bullet and they let him play.
GBO!

never fear, the award winning John Adams is the editor. I'm sure you missread it, please check again....and the suspense of what the NCAA is going to do is actually doing more harm than the possibility of a suspension altogether.

It's sad that we have to rely on ESPN to introduce us news about our team and players when we are supposed to have KNS at each and every practice. I guess John Adams and KNS was to busy coming up with another useless article while Jones was limping off the field with a high ankle sprain. WHAT A JOKE KNS IS! Wake up Adams and company

i think it is a phooey deal for bryce to get suspended because it wasnt during his recruitment it was when he was 15 the ncaa should suspend theirselves ,i would bet that 90 percent of all collage athletes in all sports got money in highschool from somebody .either by asking for it or it being offerd so they could go to ball camp or the chess club taking up money to go to the beach or something the ncaa done this to bryce to pay the ut coaching staff for minor violations which shouldnt have garnerd any punishment

Who is Spikes? Sorry. I don't concern myself with players' names on rival teams. Nor do I go trolling on a rival team's site spewing ignorance. How 'bout you?

Halls3 writes:

I doubt it makes much difference early in the year honestly. Hardesty & Poole should carry them through Western Kentucky & hopefully for UT they beat UCLA at home in a revenge game. If he is back for the Florida game I doubt it makes much difference that will still be a blowout similar to the last 2 years.

Yea, you do froth at the mouth after you've been knocked on your back. UT wins in the swamp or it will be a very close game at least. NO Blow out.

Stupid poll - not specific.

Q: If he's suspended for 1 game how much will it hurt?

A: Answer not much.

Q: If he's suspended for 3 games how much will it hurt?

A: Very much

Q: Are Gators scared that after this season their losing one of the best QBs in college football history and Bryce Brown will be a sophmore?

A: No, but they should be. History tells us the dynasties do not last long - ask Notre Dame, Alabama, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Miami, Penn State, Florida State -- All seemed unbeatable durig periods of time during my lifetime. If the Gators lose 1 game - this season is a complete and total waste of time - and yet another season where the Gators cannot perform the ultimate goal of going undefeated.

I will not waste my time watching such nonsense, but if Spikes is #51 then yes, he is good. I notice the players on the other team as I watch my Vols play them. Other than for those 60 minutes they mean absolutely nothing to me. Sorry.

mbible1utk#324980 writes:

i can't say it would hurt us all that much, but it wouldn't help by any stretch of the imagination... I think he would help the team if we had him though.

And people wonder why Vol fans feel that everyone is out to get us. How is it Brown's fault that some scum bag was using him as a means to get paid. I am sure that Bryce thought that those fund raisers were legit. The Kid is a 3.7 gpa student. He has better than average smarts.

ok first of all something tells me when bryce brown makes spikes look like a fool your mouth will drop....... It will happen to you have to listen to the articles. He isnt hype hes the real deal..... second.... Brandon Warren dosent have to be fast that isnt his role. He is a strong guy that goes up in the middle of the field and gets the ball and takes a hit. We have nuke and moore to strecth the field.... Third eric berry has the secondary under control..... o yeah not to mention that we now have the tampa two defense.......who coaches that o yeah i think his name is monte kiffin... It may not be this year..... or next year but all you florida fans..... well lets just face it the whole sec and country is scared if this staff stays together there is nothing anyone can do to stop it........

The only reason the gator fans come to post here is because they cant figure out how to work their web page. Made by gators, not to be read by gators. That and JA puts out the best gator columns.

Those "quitters" gashed your brick wall defense for more yards (with One-Hop Jon at the helm) than Heisman Tim could lead the mighty Urban-O to last year.

Yeah, um, what was Ole Miss ranked when they won in the Swamp last year? And what was Louisiana Tech, or whoever it was, that beat Bama 2 years ago ranked? Rankings, shmankings. Besides, anyone with a screen name like yours is obviously a backwater hick whom hasn't even attended college and whose only reason for hating Obama is the color of his skin or the fact that you actually listen to the hate spewed by that idiot Palin. Do us a favor and hitch your trailer up to your pickup and drive into the Gulf (preferably when the next hurricane rolls through).

Go find yourself a BIG door knob, delta charles. One BIG enough for your BIG mouth, and suck on it.Enjoy this season. The gators`time is just about up.Bryce Brown and the Vols are on the way back up.If you weren`t so worried about it,you wouldn`t spend so much time on a Vols`web sight spewing off your BIG mouth.By the way,did you know we had ANOTHER one of your commits at our practice Saturday? They just can`t seem to stay away. He`s a four-star,by the way.GO,VOLS!!!

It's not what you are ranked at the beginning as what it is at the end. Ask Georgia. And I will not guarantee a victory in the swamp but I will guarantee a very close game and better than that, I will guarantee that the Vols will take down Alabubba this year. Mark it! Then what names will the Tide fans be calling Nick Satan?

Interesting comment from a Bama fan who should know that last year Alabama wasn't even ranked in the pre-season. Pre-season polls are just a guess and many times prove to be wrong in several instances.

Good call Slaton; As defending SEC Champs that schedule is just plain embarrassing ; I don't care what year it was planned.
