Tennessee announced Friday that the SEC approved the Sept. 26 home game against Ohio can be televised on a pay-per-view basis. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
Cable systems across the state of Tennessee are expected to carry the telecast from the VideoSeat pay-per-view service. The game also will be made available as a pay-per-view event to Tennessee Dish Network and DirecTV subscribers. Specific ordering information will be released closer to the game.

Great, does Tennessee DishTV mean only in Tennessee? And can you please tell me where to find the WKU game. I don't live in Knoxville so I don't know what MyVLT is.

Turbo, here is a list of the local affiliates of the SEC Network via Ole Miss

atleast in the Tri Cities region it appears to be the same ones that carried the Jefferson Pilot/Lincoln Financial, just now its "sponsored" by ESPN and the SEC network instead.

All of the pay per view games last year were on the ESPN Gameplan package. I would assume this one will be a choice for that as well for those of us that live outside TN.

PPV?? Man that bites. I honestly hope it gets aired on CSS as Volnauburn has mentioned, otherwise I will have to catch it re-aired. I hate not being employed, love the economy lol...NOT. Situations like this makes it worse...ah well...what's a Vol fan to do, but grip and moan to a deaf ear lol
GO VOLS

Thanks UT&ET. It does appear nothing has changed as far as what stations are broadcasting just now stamped ESPN.
I have DishTV and figured the game would be on ESPNGameplan but wanted to know if it would be OTA as well. GVX provides no info for anything outside of Knoxville. Is there such a thing as the Tennessee Dish Network or is that something KNS made up?

Just like all pay-per-view games, this will be a "throwback" nostalgia game for me. In other words, I'll listen on the radio. If I were worth $100 million, I wouldn't pay to see this meaningless exhibition game on TV.

TurboFan, since you're not in Knoxville you'll have to settle for watching online on ESPN360. Its not bad if you have a decent computer but you have to download a video patch from ESPN's website.

Those in Chattanooga area change from Channel 53 as old JP network to Fox Channel 11 or whatever HD is in your city. That's for Western Ky. game, and I guess any other "SEC" network.

Its good to have Vol football on Saturdays. Do you think the Bucs will ever have football again? I wonder what Smith(head coach Atlanta Falcons), tells people about his alma mater. He is a man with no program. The basketball teams are looking pretty good. My son goes to ETSU, he coaches middle school baseball and has been invited to join the coaching staff of a high school football team next spring. He is like you, he is a Buc and Vol fan. I can't wait till kickoff against W. Kentucky, one game at a time. GO VOLS!!!

Maybe.
There's hope since Dupree said that TDTN has a nice Curtis-Mathis stored in his garage. Only nine generations of mice currently in residence.

I'm in Orlando, and I assumed ESPN would cover this.. However, with this new ESPN - SEC Deal, is now the case that a Team can simply opt-out for a game and go direct with Pay for view? I thought the ESPN package would provide for broadcast of all VoL games this fall, not this kind of phooey on Dish-net. Anybody know>?

This is a perfect example of why I don't sign up for ESPN Gameplan anymore. My guess it that this game will be available nationwide on GamePlan, except in areas the NCAA/ESPN decide to black it out. That's usually the area where people are most likely interested in seeing it! In my case, that includes Atlanta for Vols game. Problem is, you typically don't know for SURE about this until game time. The reason? ESPN has blackout maps on their website but they're unreliable. Bottom line, the cable and satellite companies can only broadcast what comes down the line from ESPN. So basically, when you can't find a game you expected to see on a particular channel, don't bother contacting Comcast, DirecTV etc. I've fought this battle for 4-5 years. If I can buy pay per view, I will. But for the price of GamePlan it's not worth it to me for the half dozen games a season I MAY not be able to get via one of the hundred or so sports channels I get.
