GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida wide receiver Andre Debose may need surgery to correct a hamstring problem that has bothered him since practice began.
Gators coach Urban Meyer said Saturday that Debose’s hamstring injury was at first not thought to be serious because Debose was able to work out at practice, though he was limited.
“It’s a real injury,” Meyer said. “We were worried it was just a tight hamstring, a hamstring pull or a hamstring strain. It might be something more. We’ll have more details on Monday.”
Meyer said he believed Debose, whom the top-ranked Gators were hoping would be able to replace speedster Percy Harvin, initially hurt the hamstring during the Florida state high school track meet in April.
Also, senior linebacker Dustin Doe has been allowed to rejoin the team. He had been suspended since his July arrest for driving with a suspended license. Doe pleaded guilty to a pair of misdemeanors and sentenced to a year of unsupervised probation, three days on an Alachua County work crew, and $600 in fines.
Meyer said Doe will serve some sort of suspension for his arrest and that he’ll announce that punishment next week before Florida opens its season at home against Charleston Southern on Sept. 5.
Doe started three games last season and was bothered by a hernia injury that required surgery. He started 12 of 13 games in 2007.

What a suspension! What a joke! There has been no football since July so the suspension never really affected the convict!!!!!!!!!!!!

The alachua cCounty work crew work was nothing more than washing panties but that is kind of a messy job when you wash convict panties.

Just another one of the convicts that is allowed to play football at the University of Felons. Look the other way Urbie Poo and it's as if it never happened.

Lets see, he has not been allowed to practice or join the team all summer. Because of that he no longer has his starting job and is looking up at the depth chart at about 3rd string. Most likely then will be suspended for 2 games. And when he gets back....well then he can try and work his way back up the depth chart and possibly play. But chances of becoming a starter again are pretty slim because of the depth at LB. For a senior that is some punishment. Then again, from you Vol fans Im sure driving with a suspended liscens warrants an entire year suspension right?

"This is his second criminal traffic offense, and after three the charge becomes a felony, according to the Alachua County jail.
Doe was booked Thursday because he decided to drive a white Dodge Magnum after being issued a driving with a suspended license citation earlier in the day, according to the police report. Doe told police he drove again because he needed to attend tutoring, according to the report."

I guess once he does it a third time, it then is a felony??? As the old saying goes....If the shoe fits.....
