Doesn't matter if it's Stephens, Simms, or Bray, we're still going to drop 40 pts on UF next Sept.

WRITE IT DOWN!!

ImaGATORmyGirlfriendsaVOL writes:

I'd say you have to start Stephens in the Spring and Fall, and atleast give him the oportunity for sticking with the program when Crompton was playing so terribly and he still didnt get in the game. Redshirt Bray, he has the oportunity to gain weight, learn the system, and then come out and either start 4 years, or sit behind Simms for 1...I honestly dont think Lamaison has a shot

Why do you have these stupid polls?

Poll emptier than slovog's head.

I will give you my vote after the Orange and White game in the spring. I personally think it is way too early for this poll, besides we still have Crompton for one final game.

FEARinSEC writes:

Stephens will start and Bray will redshirt.
Lamaison and Simms will be 2 & 3 on the depthchart.
Lamaison is better than he gets credit for and he's had time in this offense.

Lamaison: "Lamaison finishes his Mountie career with 3,479 yards of passing, 36 touchdowns, 7 INTS and a passing efficiency of 166.5.

Simms: 2204 yards passing, 17 TD's, 12 INT's, no passer rating given. Sat out 2 games due to injured wrist.

But with these coaches, who knows????

I hope you are right about scoring 40 or 40+ vs. UF, because that will surely be a victory.

What "greener pastures" would Stevens be headed for?

At this point I have to agree with you. The starting job is Stephens to lose.

I also agree, after seeing the progress made with Crompton, that Kiffin and his staff know how to coach QBs.

Thanks for the JC stats/info regarding Simms and Lamaison.

Stevens probably isn't going anywhere even if one of the other guys win the starting job. He's a fifth-year senior and could only move down to a lower division and still play.

I believe Stevens has a good shot of winning the job and Bray will redshirt this year.

Kinda of dated. As in today. Ask that question 5 years ago and Tuscaloosa wouldn't have even registered in the top 10. 10 years ago and the state of Florida was divided between Miami, FSU and the Gators. Yes the chomp is recognized across the land but the FSU tomahawk chop and chant was around long before it.

Question: if the fans in Gainesville and Tuscaloosa are so rabid why don't they have the biggest stadiums in the SEC let alone the nation?

Greener pastures would be anywhere he will be a starter as his time is running out.Green pastures may be at Tenn. or a division 2 school.Either way,may the best man win the starting position.I hope he is the starter for Tenn. That would mean he is the better qb.and we want the best on the field at all times, except for mop up rolls.

Question: If the fans in Gainesville are so rabid, why haven't they sold out their ticket allotment (or asked for more tickets) to the Sugar Bowl?

Whoever the coaches decide. These polls are so stupid and only contribute to potential QB controversy like we had last year and the beginning of this year. If this year taught us anything it is that Kiffin, Chaney, Reaves no how to evaluate and coach up a QB. Let's just let them do their job and root for whoever they believes gives us the best chance to win.

notoriousBIGorange writes:

His name is spelled STEPHENS, not Stevens...

after what they did with crompton, i'll go with the coach's choice!

givehim6 writes:

Stephens should start, he has waited his turn like Crompton did. And Kiffin should show Nick the same respect given Crompton by sticking by him, if not new guys coming in will see Kiffin as showing favoritism. Bray should red shirt.

Everybody who thinks Lane will waste a year on Nick is crazy . Let me see here he couldn't beat out John so I going to pass on Tyler or Simms so I can do the right thing by nick yea right.
