KNOXVILLE — Why not hire the guy that is raiding your state, again, again and again? And Kiffin has wasted no time capitalizing on Meyer's exit: Coaching is also a business, though, and Kiffin only slightly side-stepped questions regarding possible plans to pillage Florida's recruiting class.

(Far-fetched and fanciful no doubt, but then again, who thought Urban Meyer might think of leaving his job on Christmas Eve?)

Was this a serious post?
No individual is more hated by a school in college football than Kiffin is by Florida. I don't like saying "never" but I think this is about as close as it gets.

Well, that was a waste of time...thanks for the link KNS.

I hope they don't drug test who ever this guy is written for.Kif is going nowhere!

Dc are you done watching reruns of the press conferance yesterday with your pants down?

I agree with the second part of your post DC.
As for the first part you might want to duck.
ArealVolFan writes:
Just out of curiosity DC, as I really don't care, why do you and guys like zz spend so much time here? Seems like through this whole Meyer thing you would be working your own sites to see what was going on than being here, but you have spent quite a bit of time giving us all a Fl fans perspective on things.
1vol writes:
I agree Witch Doctor. My stomach turn every time I come on here thinking that I might get a slight Vol lean but NO,It's like they do every thing they can to put UT down.Hey KNS the CPF rein is over accept it.

Well, hate to break it to ya, but when people have gator or vol glasses on things will never be 100% accurate. Plenty of spin to go both ways.
vet4ut writes:
I'll have to say, as an avid reader of our "eclectic" contributors, DC is at least willing to have a good sense of humor about this ridiculous situation.
Meyer either didn't think this through or wasn't honest with himself after making his decision to retire.
In any event, whoever thought this was a good article is a moron.
On another note, has anyone heard reports of the Kiffin Copter circling around Elam's school?

Coach Kiffin is not going anywhere period. He has a 10 year plan at UT and knows what has to be done to be considered for bigger and more higher money coaching jobs!
But Meyer, Come-on-man! Are you leaving, going, staying, in or out? LOL, I have had stress and chest pains for over 10 years now, Cowboy Up Dude!
I know you lost the SEC Championship, Tebow, your O & D Cordinators to Head Coaching Jobs. You are all alone now, wooooo, cut your wrist, ROFLMAO!
GO VOLS!
ArealVolFan writes:
He would only take it because he would know once he accepted the job every UF fan would have a heart attack and die, without any reason to be there he could then return to UT to have a completely unobstructed field day in FL recruiting.
VolGrad writes:
Strange indeed. So what is the Orlando Sentinel's beef? Someone there still upset about Ron Zook being let go?
sm1 writes:
Are you unemployeed? You have a lot of free time on your hands.
ArealVolFan writes:
Marc, how bad do you think this situation is really? I said yesterday I would be extremely uneasy if I were a UF fan. Urban has them handcuffed now to where they can't look for a suitable coach and the recruits are just confused. I have to believe even if Urban returns by the fall UF will take a hit in recruiting this year at the least.
VolGrad writes:
Is it just me or does this link seem to be about 2 days old, chronologically speaking?
I'm just saying.
secsecsec writes:
Wow! The KNS must be in financial trouble and need the hits from advertising to post an "article" like this. This article is guaranteed to be circulated around Florida and bring the Gators to this site in troves. This article is so blatantly about chumming the water for hits- I am embarrassed for the KNS.
DC_Vol writes:
You have to be kidding! Now I have heard everything, you are far from credible and much less than accurate. You spin every story to favor and credit Florida and take every opportunity to downgrade Tennessee. I know you sit behind your computer and read each story and then try to put a positive spin on Florida.
No matter how you spin this one, Meyer created yet another public relations disaster, that will cost Florida several recruits and the top ranking in February. No spin there, all media is reporting they expect backlash by recruits because of Meyer's actions. All except you but then your bias usually causes you to be wrong or just inaccurate.
Knowing you have no credibility I will listen to the majority of the media on this one. Weren't you the one claiming UT had committed a primary violation with the hostesses. Yeah remember how that turned out. Most of us on this site didn't believe you for a second. LOL

How does a five sentence story deserve a headline on GoVolsxtra? Complete waste of time. I think some of my brain cells died after clicking that link. Must need the extra "page views" to pad the internet stats...

Yeah I'm sure Kiffin is right at the top of Foley's list of candidates and I'm sure Meyer would highly recommend him for the job, as would Slive. I mean all that jawin' was just two ol' boys havin' some fun. Why before I came to work here at my present job, while I was workin' for the competition, I called my Company a bunch of cheatin', lyin', whiners, and swore to whup their tails; but heck they knew I was only funnin'. I bet Lane and Mr. Foley are workin' a deal as we speak..er type.
ArealVolFan writes:
You mean...one 10 win every 4 years? 2 loosing seasons every four years? A top five recuiting class one year, then a 32nd ranked class the next? Balanced like, why we have no OL men thanks to those balanced recruiting classes ? You mean, one guy drafted in the first round? You mean Sold out stadiums like in '08? You mean like gameday has been on campus in...oh wait they haven't been around in over 4 years.
Yeh, those days sound great. Lets go back to those.

volsmanning16 writes:
here the real deal, kiffin might actually make a quaterback that can make it in the nfl --name a quaterback that will make it under Urban's spread offense. if fla. recruits was smart, they would see thru the smoke and go elsewhere, because playing in that system, they go no-where, except defense maybe. here at UT, we provide them with the tools to make a living in the NFL and a stable life. just check in any spread system in the ncaa--it goes no-where in the nfl--so i guess tebow can come back and coach with Urban and live in a Fla. retirement home, while in Tennessee they go on to be successful! Fla. needs to realize all their worried about is themselves what makes them look good at that time, they might actually need a coach more like Kiffin instead of Urban in the future
ArealVolFan writes:
I would think the most likely might be Elam. His whole recruitment has been strange, and my guess is he has to be pretty sick of it all now.
Where I think it may help UT more is not in the guys currently committed but with guys like Cullen and Green who are still open, but strongly considering both UT and UF.

Just making sure. Guess it was the way I read it. Never thought about HIS panties, just panties in general. Ok back to topic...do u think the current instability of your program, IF meyer is seriously not coming back and knows it, do u think it will lead to a transfer or two from your current roster? Just curious. I personally want meyer there, if he wins he wins but if we win it's mainly because he's not there, or so it will be spun that way.
