GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida returner Brandon James has had surgery to repair a broken bone in his right foot.
James will be on crutches for at least six weeks but was expected to make a full recovery before fall practice in August.
James, the Southeastern Conference’s special teams player of the year in 2008, averaged 13.8 yards a punt return and scored two touchdowns. He also averaged 23.1 yards per kickoff return.
He set Florida’s single-season record for punt return yardage (510) last year and holds the career mark (1,127). He ranks third in SEC history with punts returned for touchdowns and ranks fifth in total return yardage (3,089).

sooo many yards against the vols. let's hope this slows his step during the first three weeks of the season. I dont feel like watching another PR for TD this year.

Hopefully Monte Kiffin will realize how dangerous he is this season. Florida is a great team, but take away him and they're good and beatable. All we need to do is watch the OLE MISS game film. Nutt took him out of the game, put pressure on Tebow, and the result was a Win. And I don't care what Florida says, they did not have a bad game. OLE MISS smacked them in the mouth. BRING THE HEAT KIFFIN!!!

Newsflash..."Florida returner Brandon James has had surgery to repair a broken bone in his right foot. James will be on crutches" Meanwhile, Gatorzz will have surgery on the hands for carpel tunnel. Both are expected to make a full recovery in 6 weeks. More news to follow on this developing story.

Maybe we'll have some athletes on punt coverage teams. It's not hard to blow by defensive ends and such in the open field

Not that I wish him any bad health....But hopefully his foot will be bothering him (or be tender from the previous games) the week they play us. Maybe he will have to sit out that week.
