Tough playing conditions pushed the Tennessee men's golf team down the leaderboard Monday at the John Hayt Collegiate Invitational in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. The Vols dropped from fifth to eighth place after shooting a 23-over-par 311 (610 overall) in windy conditions at Sawgrass Country Club’s Oceanside Course.
LSU (591) jumped first-day leader Arizona State (593) for the lead.
Freshman Darren Renwick paced UT with a 4-over 76 that bumped him from a tie for 24th to a tie for 16th on the individual leaderboard.
Senior Chris Paisley (77) is tied for 13th.

The Tennessee’s women’s golf team shot a second-round 294 and remains in sixth place at the Wildcat Invitational in Puerto Penasco, Sonora, Mexico. Freshman Nathalie Mansson and junior Ginny Brown each shot 73 and are tied for 12th.

Tennessee freshman pitcher Cat Hosfield was named SEC softball pitcher of the week. Hosfield was 4-0 with a 1.11 ERA and 27 strikeouts in 25 1/3 innings for the Lady Vols.
