Georgia minus 13 injured players for spring practice

ATHENS, Ga. — Three top Georgia linemen will miss spring practice as they continue to recover from knee surgeries.

Georgia spokesman Claude Felton said offensive linemen Trinton Sturdivant and Vince Vance and defensive tackle Jeff Owens are among 13 players expected to miss spring practice.

Linebacker Darius Dewberry (shoulder) also will miss spring drills.

Among players scheduled for January surgeries which will keep them out of spring practice are tight end Bruce Figgins (shoulder), linebacker Akeem Hebron (ankle), defensive end Rod Battle (shoulder) and offensive lineman Chris Davis (hip).

Georgia hasn't announced dates for spring practice.
