Georgia minus 13 injured players for spring practice

ATHENS, Ga. — Three top Georgia linemen will miss spring practice as they continue to recover from knee surgeries.

Georgia spokesman Claude Felton said offensive linemen Trinton Sturdivant and Vince Vance and defensive tackle Jeff Owens are among 13 players expected to miss spring practice.

Linebacker Darius Dewberry (shoulder) also will miss spring drills.

Among players scheduled for January surgeries which will keep them out of spring practice are tight end Bruce Figgins (shoulder), linebacker Akeem Hebron (ankle), defensive end Rod Battle (shoulder) and offensive lineman Chris Davis (hip).

Georgia hasn't announced dates for spring practice.

True. You are correct in their "do less with more" syndrome.

2008 convinced me. Believe Martinez is big culprit. Equivalent to Clawson's offense.

hey with moreno and stafford heading to the pros, maybe alabama having to retool a qb and if tebow and harvin go, could be a good omen for us, we'll see

another mans loss could be another's gain

Their OL will be very good next year with injured back. I read 13 returning OL with SEC game experience. Compare that to a total of 9 OL on our roster, many without PT. They had 17 players miss all or part of the season with injuries.

We know why Moreno went out. He didn't want Eric Berry to lay the wood to him again next year!
