Auburn hires Grimes to coach offensive line

AUBURN, Ala. — Auburn has named former Colorado assistant head coach Jeff Grimes to coach the offensive line.

Grimes spent the past two seasons as Colorado’s running game coordinator and offensive line coach. Auburn coach Gene Chizik announced his hiring on Sunday.

Grimes is a 16-year coaching veteran who has also coached the offensive lines at Brigham Young, Arizona State and Boise State.

The 40-year-old coach is a former offensive tackle for the University of Texas-El Paso.

The only remaining spot to fill for Chizik is secondary coach.

So, what is the concensus from you old timers re: Auburn's new staff? Good, bad, or ugly?

Anyone know whats up with Tommy T? Where will he be landing?

It will be interesting to see who will do a better job of building a staff. UT or UA. My bets on UT.
