Brooks happy to have juniors returning

LEXINGTON, Ky. — University of Kentucky football coach Rich Brooks is feeling good about the Wildcats after three juniors bypassed a chance to enter the NFL draft a year early.

Brooks says he’s a little surprised that linebacker Micah Johnson, defensive end Jeremy Jarmon and cornerback Trevard Lindley are back for their senior seasons, he’s not complaining.

Brooks says the return of the trio gives Kentucky a chance to significantly improve on this season’s 7-6 record, even though the Wildcats will lose six seniors off the defense.

On offense, quarterback Mike Hartline will enter the spring tops at that position. But Brooks says there will be competition from part-time starter Randall Cobb and others in the fall.

If I understand this correctly-Say Brooks decides to coach longer than JoePa, Joker Phillips could be 91 before he takes over?

What a deal.

KY jelly's returning seniors. Brooks needs to use the lube to minimize the pain that Monte's D is going to bring KY next season.

Yep, some say that Joe Pa even knows sometimes who they're playing on Saturday afore they plant him in the suite.

Geezer thing, I'm getting there.

He also is operating without a signed contract, I believe.

Someone will know.

Vols needed and got big changes.

I've heard the same about CRB coaching 2-3 more years. This guy, IMO, is a class act. Whether you like CPF or not, CRB was very classy in addressing the CPF firing. I think he's a good coach at a tough program.

Save me...3 Kentucky juniors decided to by pass the NFL draft...HA! More like they decided to stay and see if they can get a 5th round draft next year instead of a 7th round draft this year.

Big Fletch recommended adding Killians and Old Charter to the liquid diet.

He's at 428 as of this writing.
