"you guys" means me too. i haven't graded the coaches yet. i've always said that we know that these guys can recruit we'll see if they can generate the wins in september...october....etc..
as for the poll. it's hardly legit. the class that UT has now are commitments. no ink on paper, just like Flar-duh's class. my question to the pollster is - do you want me to rate this class as of now base upon a 17 year olds word that he's gonna play at tennessee? then i have to rate it based on never seeing anyone of these players play.
Okay, here I go....based upon the info in hand...i guess it's okay.

The difference is the staff is complete and the recruiting class is not. Overall, Vol fan or not, you have to give CLK 5* or an A for delivering what he said he would, it took time and he put together a very solid staff. The crucial hires in Orgeron, Monte, and a nice few surprises at the end have made his short tenure very impressive. We have most of the top recuiters in the SEC if not the nation. Sorry buddy, Foolmer is gone and UT will no longer be a doormat for your Gators and other rising SEC teams.

Given the late start by Kiffin and staff, I'd say any contributors we get this year will be a plus. Next year's class will start to tell the tale.
Bottom line- It's ridiculous to speculate on what the class will look like till the fax machine stops on signing day. I'm not really going to look at it till then.

Actually schools have had players signed. Florida has 5 players who have already signed letters of intent and are on campus now as early enrollers. Those are key recruits to get since they will get the chance to go through spring practice.

a nice few surprises??? LOL! Reaves who was S.Carolina's QB coach? hmm ok he had some great QBs developed. Mark Smith, strength coach also from S.Carolina. Im sure every Vol fan knew who he was before right? Or how about James Gregg, the raiders offensive line coach and Jim Chaney the former Rams TE coach. Again, Im sure every Vol fan had these guys on a list of coaches they wanted right? LOL! Fact is most if not all of you rate this as a high rated coaching staff because you read an article from some writer who said it was. Most of you personally had not heard of most of those guys until they were hired.

Again this is based off of what? Lane an Orgeron being at USC? Sorry but I could recruit for USC. Might want to wait until say 2011 before saying this staff has the top recruiters in the SEC or country. 2011 is most likely when everyone will know how good the 2009 classes are.

You think Florida beats up on Tennessee because of Fulmer? LOL! Florida beats up on teams like them because they have the best college coach in America. Granted Fulmer had his flaws, but look at the list of other coaches Meyer and UF own and have beat. Saban, Richt, Tressel, Stoops ect..You think unproven Kiffin is going to top those 4? Good luck!

Why do you think Ols Miss is better this year than in many years..its because of the Ole Miss' defensive linemen that Orgeron recruited...and are they big and good...no wonder Coach Nutt is so happy over his Rebels. Come to think of it, big tough defensive linemen is what the Vols' have needed for years...but could not seem to recruit them. Look out, we'll have them coming in soon.
