So McCarron is coming?

KNS is saying we have alot more visitors than Volquest is saying. I guess will find out soon enough who is right.
bobbymeachem writes:
Volquest is showing the same list except Brent doesn't have AJ coming
GREATVOLSAFIRE writes:
I guess KNS is breaking the story this time! Good, GO get em VOLS !!!!
bigorangefan79 writes:
17 huh, that's a lot more than expected. Is moses still on the board?
bigorangefan79 writes:
McCarron? This could get interesting. Could the super staff pull some of these off?
gwaidley#279246 writes:
Anyone notice we have Nyshier Oliver giving UT a look again. This kid jumped ship (can't remember if it was due to CPF's firing) and committed to Notre Dame. At the time, he was one of our highest rated recruits.
UTVolAlum writes:
In A.J. McCarron's last interview he says he is not visiting because Saban said it would look bad. It will be interesting to see if he shows up, but my guess is that KNS has not updated their list since McCarron's last interview.
RoadTrip writes:
Sure am glad we have true pros as coaches that really know how to evaluate talent. I think cousin Guido knows more about evaluating talent than Rivals and Scout.
Maverick1921 writes:
Volquest said there would be some surprise visitors this weekend... D*mn they sure weren't kidding ha ha.
iwastherein98 writes:
No matter what that's a great list. USC would be proud of that list. Now we need to convince as many of these guys to sign as possible.
Maverick1921 writes:
I've heard of all of these except Jarrett Brown, Shane Gordon, and Kendrick Hardy... What's the scoop on these three?
NoogaVol55 writes:
I thought Morgan Moses was off the radar. Where did he come from all of the sudden?
NoogaVol55 writes:
I forgot at mention Teague!!! I thought he was sold on the Gators??? Good for us!!!
byobbio writes:
I heard Moses Malone was visiting. Any truth to that? Or was it the other Moses?
byobbio writes:
I wouldn't give Nyshier Oliver a free trip unless he re-considering his re-negging and commitment to Notre dame. Maybe this is very old information. Maybe this is the visit list from like June.
orangevolunteer writes:
i would love to get some of these guys, but i wonder how many are just here for bball game this weekend?
GREATVOLSAFIRE writes:
I think Shane Gordon is for 2010
Paynes3 writes:
It will take a small miracle to get McCarron. Has anyone watched film on Jake Heaps. He looks good but why are we not recruiting that #1 reciever he throws to. That guy makes Heaps look like a Peyton Manning. That guy should be a top reciever.
Greyback_Vol writes:
Fox Sports is reporting that David Oku is taking an official visit to Syracuse this weekend.
Wonder who talked him into that, Michael or Drayton?
Paynes3 writes:
Not sure, but that WR is nice. Watch Heaps film, you'll see what im talking about.
cjraney writes:
Hells yeah. Get 'em Kiff.
Talkvols writes:
Does anyone know if the Kiffin's have talked to Daniel Hood from Knox Cathlic?
senracjr writes:
Killer list and thats not including whats coming next weekend! GO VOLS
Volunatic writes:
Impressive list. I think we'll get a couple of pleasant surprises from this weekend's visitors on Signing Day.
Paynes3 writes:
I've not talked to him in a while but as soon as I read this I messaged him to find out what was going on. I wouldn't worry though, he always sounds fired up about coming here.
Bruce_Pearl_Fan writes:
According to Scout.com, Morgan Moses took an official visit to UT during the Bama weekend. Who's correct? JBruce, Savage, anyone?
vols1314 writes:
Urban Meyer and the defensive back coach was at Henry County High School yesterday talking to Marsalis for a while.
vols1314 writes:
He is sold on the gators BIG time. Kiffin is going to have to do a awesome job to get him to come to UT.
Volunatic writes:
Well, if he's afraid of competition for playing time, then he should go to Kentucky.
lifelongVOL writes:
a few observations about some posts:
1) Cierre Wood is not the top tailback in the country, Bryce Brown is and Trent Richardson is #2.
2) Teague is pissed at Florida and Meyer, because Meyer was umm.... not so kind to him at his in-home visit last night. i.e. Greg Reid come to mind...
3) We have a great shot at McCarron, when you look at the QB's in waiting at AL he may or may not play early, and even then, your right the track record is not good for AL QB's. However, if we don't get him We WILL GET JAKE HEAPS for 2010. He will be #1 QB #1 Prospect and has confirmed an Unofficial Visit with his parents for Feb-13 weekend.
4) I don't think we get Moses, but for those that don't know check out the Chris Freeman kid at OL. He is a beast only played football like 1 year from a story i read. He is completely raw talent and i think can be coached up. Tremendous upside. Not to mention we have quite a few other lineman on their way to UT.
5) Shane Gordon is 2009 and is a 3* LB.
6) There will be some surprises. I am going to call one right now, WE WILL GET 1 of these 3 maybe 2. Bryce Brown, Rueben Randle, AJ McCarron
7) The team that makes the Fewest Mistakes Wins!!! Looks like we aren't making many mistakes right now. Hey AL and FL looks like y'all might be!
GO BIG ORANGE.
LIFELONGVOL signing off.

McCarron is coming.
smokey8555 writes:
Well, obviously you can't both be right; however, I have to lean toward a visit by McCarron. This kid wants to play now (who doesn't) and he will have a faster path at UTK.
lifelongVOL writes:
Bama, bama, bama. First i don't understand why you don't patrol the gators threads, or georgia threads, or...oh i see because we have now become the biggest threat in your mind. Anyways. i have a buddy of mine who's son goes to St. Paul's Episcopal in Mobile, AL and he talked to AJ at school yesterday and AJ told him he was coming up here to Kiffintown this weekend. Sorry. i know you don't want to lose all of your commits, but he's coming. Also, next week, is Trent Richardson... prepare yourself. 2/4 won't be fun for you.
JBruce writes:
Hubbs said he is 100% sure that McCarron is not visiting.
LAVol writes:
McCarron is a lock to bama and Teague is a lock to the gators. I live in Mobile and they had an article the other day in the press register with McCarron saying he is solidly committed to bama. McCarron and Teague are not interested in the vols, they are just using up their visits to travel and have a good time (can't really blame them).
HitnRunRick writes:
Shane Gordon is a LB from Weston, FL, his teammate and fellow LB is committed to Duke. Supposedly, McCarron backed off his promise to Saban to not visit. Oku said he has NO plans to visit anywhere!
lifelongVOL writes:
i never said they were coming to UT in terms of committing or signing, we are getting Heaps next year, so Mccarron would only play here maybe 1 or 2 years. I know he's an Alabama boy he's also way undersized. Teague, will be a VOL you can write that down! Just watch, 2/4
JBruce writes:
Richardson cancelled his UT visit and eliminated Tennessee.

LAVol writes:
I hope your right about Teague! Seems like a longshot though but you never know. Go get em Kiff!
Go Vols
GreerVol22 writes:
with a list like that, its gonna take a lot of Cougar to keep the den warm.
JBruce writes:
I think Teague has gone somewhat sour on the Gators. I have heard that Kiffin projects him to be a slot receiver which is where Teague would like to play. Meyer wants him to come in as a DB, a position that is already rediculously deep at Florida.
With the likely loss of Stokes, Teague would be a great pickup for UT.
volmattna writes:
If we get them to Knoxville anything can happen!! Thats the main thing getting them here. But i am sure they will be impressed with us. GO VOLS!!!
ctownvol writes:
Do you really think we end up losing Stokes? Is it because we may end up with other high-profile receivers or is he just not in love with us?
GerryOP writes:
FWIW, the PNJ article was Wednesday ... today is Friday. Any chance the kid changed his mind? Nawwwww!
