Warwick leaving UT for Rams

Tennessee assistant athletic director for football operations Bruce Warwick is leaving to take a position with the St. Louis Rams.

Warwick, who played a key role in the day-to-day operations of UT's football program, has been with the Vols since 2007, joining Phillip Fulmer's staff after spending part of the year at Duke as the Blue Devils' director of player personnel and development.

Warwick will take over as the Rams' director of football administration later this week.

Prior to his time at Tennessee and Duke, Warwick spent six years in various capacities with the Green Bay Packers.

Warwick replaced Gerry Dickey, who left to take a job with Action Sports Media prior to the 2007 season.

Foolmore isn't going to accept that type of position! He's a football coach! He's won 152 games and is just waiting for that right job to open up so he jump on it!

Plus, he's already ran the football program into the ground. Please don't give him the ability to run the whole athletic department into to ground too.

who cares? I mean, how will we make it without him??

I wonder what Dale Carter is doing these days? I bet he could use a job.

I don't like the idea..but I think the University is waiting for opportunity to get CPF back. I think your giving to much credit. Don't think anybody wants him

You are right most don't want Phil around. Time may change a few minds only wins and losses will tell.

get rid of the crush you have on fulmer or at least take it out of your name.
why would they want to hire fulmer for this job ? we seen what he did for the football program and he would do the samething for the ad dept.

If I was Kiffin I would have had a clause in my contract to where if Foolmore was seen within 100 yards of the football complex or any players on anytime other than gameday that I would be given an automatic $1M bonus.

Keep Foolmore away. Send him to Jackson Hole to continue his quest in becoming Jabba the Hut.

are you a bama fan? or do you like the gators better? OH, wait a minute, You must be a lonely pessimist that forgot the '98 nat. champs was coached by none other than PHIL FULMER !!! Go clean your diapers and quit whining about your milk bottle being half full.

I hope someday soon posters will not find it necessary to take cheap shots at Coach Fulmer. His time has come and gone, but it is unmanly to kick a man when he is down. Most of the folks making the unkind remarks about a man who did much for UT wouldn't qualify to carry his jock strap, IMHO. Coach Kiffin is here to stay, let's support him 100%. That support doesn't require bad-mouthing Coach Fulmer. GO VOLS!

thats it stupid you keep living in the past and off the 98 season and the real vol fans will look forward to the future and try to forget how far he took this program down.
It sounds like to me your still hurt over him being fired ? you know you can get help for that you idiot

Alex Fuller is not being paid. Besides, I like seeing her play. She's the prettiest Lady Vol currently, IMO.

There are people who care about the football staff and knew Bruce Warwick worked in the football office.

When a member of the athletic department goes to work in the professional ranks, it's interesting because that relationship could play a part in future hirings and other events.

Gerry Dickey is no relation to Doug Dickey that I'm aware of.

Thank you, CHs52VOL. I admired Coach Fulmer for his many years of dedication to the Vols, and still admire him as a good and decent man. Would I have liked to have seen him get one more year to try to right the ship? I wouldn't have argued with it. But I also won't argue that perhaps it WAS time for a change. Well, change is here in the form of an entirely new coaching staff. Only time will tell if the results on the field are what everybody's been longing for. I sincerely hope so, and believe they will be. I'm behind Coach Kiffin and the entire staff. I won't them to succeed, because in doing so, they've brought our Vols back to where we belong.

But folks, it's time to quit slamming Coach Fulmer. He's gone, and we're in a new and exciting era of Big Orange football. Support Coach Kiffin and The Big Orange with all you have in you. But I don't believe that has to involve all the unkind comments toward Coach Fulmer. I believe as Volunteers we should have and show a little more class than that.

GO VOLS!!!

Good call, RON. They're not only classless; they're also clueless and crass. It might have been time for Coach Fulmer to move out of the way, but (apparently) a lot of fans have very short memories of some very good years. Best of luck, Bruce. Thanks for your service to UT.
