Tennessee assistant athletic director for football operations Bruce Warwick is leaving to take a position with the St. Louis Rams.
Warwick, who played a key role in the day-to-day operations of UT's football program, has been with the Vols since 2007, joining Phillip Fulmer's staff after spending part of the year at Duke as the Blue Devils' director of player personnel and development.
Warwick will take over as the Rams' director of football administration later this week.
Prior to his time at Tennessee and Duke, Warwick spent six years in various capacities with the Green Bay Packers.
Warwick replaced Gerry Dickey, who left to take a job with Action Sports Media prior to the 2007 season.

I hope someday soon posters will not find it necessary to take cheap shots at Coach Fulmer. His time has come and gone, but it is unmanly to kick a man when he is down. Most of the folks making the unkind remarks about a man who did much for UT wouldn't qualify to carry his jock strap, IMHO. Coach Kiffin is here to stay, let's support him 100%. That support doesn't require bad-mouthing Coach Fulmer. GO VOLS!

When a member of the athletic department goes to work in the professional ranks, it's interesting because that relationship could play a part in future hirings and other events.
Gerry Dickey is no relation to Doug Dickey that I'm aware of.
