MINNEAPOLIS — Tubby Smith says he's staying put in Minnesota.
The Gophers coach addressed speculation that Alabama might pursue him to replace Mike Gottfried, who resigned this week. Smith said after Wednesday's practice he's happy in Minnesota and not looking for any other jobs. Arizona, also, could be looking after the season in light of Lute Olson's retirement.
Smith said he's not a candidate for any vacancies. He expressed excitement about "where the Gopher program is" and next year's incoming recruits. Smith is in his second season at Minnesota after 10 years at Kentucky.

Bama987, for an interloper who is obsessed with all things UT (hence your never-ending presence on this site) you used to really bring game, but lately your posts are lame and barely coherent.
Come on man, if you're going to follow in your hero Paul Slimeball's footsteps and compensate for being a social outcast by hanging out with another team's fans to stir up trouble, you're going to have to really raise your game.

Bama better get their sites off the name guys and find the first good mid-major coach they can. The name guys ain't takin' a bad program at a football school with Saban calling the shots. That is career suicide.
As for Tubby, he will be in the mix at Arizona. Don't be surprised if he gets it and takes it.
