Wide receiver Kendall Kelly from Gadsden (Ala.) City High School will visit Tennessee this weekend, the News Sentinel has learned from a member of the Gadsden City football office.
The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Kelly is also considering Alabama, LSU and Clemson. Auburn had been in the running but was unable to secure a visit from Kelly.
Kelly’s teammate, cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick, will not join Kelly in Knoxville.
Kirkpatrick, who’s considering Alabama, Florida and Texas, took an unofficial visit to UT in September.
Kirkpatrick underwent shoulder surgery on Wednesday and had to cancel a planned trip to LSU.
Alabama is thought to be the favorite to land Kirkpatrick.
