Men's tennis team to play Louisville

The No. 8 Tennessee men's tennis team got off to a fast start Saturday and never looked back, blanking 48th-ranked Harvard 7-0 in the qualifying round of the ITA Indoor National Championship at the Goodfriend Indoor Tennis Center.

The top-seeded Vols (3-0) face No. 43 Louisville (5-0) today at 3 p.m., with the winner advancing to the national championships in Chicago.

The second-seeded Cardinals beat No. 52 Drake (0-1) to end the nation's best regular-season winning streak at 42.

Women's Tennis: Despite dropping the doubles point, the No. 23 UT women's tennis team was able to rally in the singles portion for a 5-2 victory over No. 28 Virginia (2-1) at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Indoor Qualifier in Coral Gables, Fla.

The Lady Vols (3-0) play No. 13 Miami today with the winner advancing to the national championships.

Women's Swimming: Despite a school-record performance from junior Alex Barsanti and three first-place finishes from Michele King, the No. 7 UT women's swimming team fell to No. 5 Florida, 174-125, on Friday night at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center at Gainesville, Fla.

Barsanti won the 200-yard breaststroke in 2 minutes, 11.14 seconds, breaking the old record of 2:11.87 set by Tiffany Clay at the 2007 NCAA championships.

King won the 50 free (22.83), 100 free (49.88) and was on the victorious 400 free relay ( 3:19.60) with Katie Gehring, Morgan Farrell and Jenny Connolly.
