Practice status uncertain for Ole Miss' Hardy

OXFORD, Miss. — Mississippi defensive end Greg Hardy won’t have his injured right foot evaluated by a doctor until next week.

Hardy re-injured his surgically repaired foot in a car crash last weekend and has been wearing a hard boot on it. His status for the start of preseason practice, which begins in two weeks, is uncertain.

The school said Wednesday in a news release no evaluation of Hardy will be made until he is examined next week by Dr. Bob Anderson, of Charlotte, N.C.

Hardy has 18.5 sacks over the last two years despite missing several games.

He was driving with teammate Dexter McCluster on Saturday near Pontotoc, Miss., when another vehicle hit his 2005 Escalade. All involved escaped serious injury.

The rebels will be a handful for us this year. Lots of people down here are talking it up about the VOLS and Coach O returning. Can't get individual tickets for this game as they are requiring that you purchase season tickets if you want to attend. Asking same for alabama and lsu. Hopefully I'll find a couple as we near game day. GO VOLS

This was news three days ago! ESPN had it up Monday at 2:19 pm. Hardy would have been a high Draft Pick if he had come out early instead of staying for his Senior year.

This was news yesterday:
We signed another QB. Let's welcome Nick Lamaison to Knoxville!

A 2005 Escalade? Nice ride for a senior in college from a very modest upbringing?
