In a Fox Sports photo gallery on MSN of "10 people we wish would go away," Lane Kiffin is No. 5 and President Barack Obama is No. 8.

Geez. Read more.

Dude,
When I read the headline, it looked like Lane said Obama was on his list of people to go away. Recruiting would have effectively been over! Think about it. Whewwww!

I think the news-sentinel should conduct their own poll. The trolls would be my first choice on the list.

I thought the same thing...news sentinel should change the title to read different.

I doubt it. If that was the case, Interim Chief Tony Jones of the Gainesville Police Department would have made the top 5.

Yeah, I could use a little Killian's Red stimulus on the creek or a fritter check would be nice.

Hated to see that ex-Gator Hornsby in in trouble in Miss. Just a misguided youth.

A better solution would be to click the "suggest remove" link on the ones you object to. That's what it is for.

You think they want Kiffin to go away now just wait a couple of years when he begins the regular beatdowns. Then the hate will really emerge.

KNS, you've got to tweak that headline just a bit as I initially read it to say that Kiffen was saying he thought Obama should go away, which caused an "Oh s___" reaction.

Call yourself whatever you want bob_beavol but your negative garbage does not belong on this site. You've been kicked off of this site how many times now? How many is it going to take before you go away forever?

Good point sicem....They get on here with their trash about Krusty the Kiffin, Special Ed...and even talk about CEO's past problems, but when I asked about certain problems of a certain coach from a certain team, my comment was removed. I provided links as factual back-up to my questions, but when I asked why my comments were removed, I was zapped by the powers that be. Just seems that KNS lets most loper phooey stay, but removes ours if we challenge with public facts.

Did you notice how the loper comments started back really late in the month. Hits to the site must have been down and the company needs more hits to justify the ad charges.

If enough different people flag a comment, it will get moderated without our intervention, but we do look at them.

We apply the test of whether they are violating our user agreement. Not being a Vol fan is not enough; taunting Vol fans is enough.

I have plenty of "why did I get banned" emails.

I'm afraid I agree with you. I wish he'd take his telepromter and go back to Chicago. I personally hope Kiffin will make #1 in a few years. Cause he's beating people like a drum!!! When Spurrier was the most hated coach in the SEC he didn't care...cause he was beating everybody.

Go Vols

Hmmm...I'm relatively new to this forum/blog/whatever-the-heck-it-is thing, and still learning the terminology. After doing some reading here, I'm gathering that a "troll" is someone who offers up any criticism of anything "Vol", including players? Well, in my first post on this site I heavily criticized the offensive lines of previous years; "sigh"...I guess I'm a troll. I've been a Vols fan since I was 2, but if the shoe fits...(in the aforementioned case, if an offensive line blocks like they should be wearing dresses...). In reality-land: McCleskey, Manning, Spiva, White, Wilson, etc.--heroes; Battle (of the Bill variety), Riley (of the Spencer variety), Washington (of the Kelly variety)--NOT SO MUCH. I certainly don't want Obama or Kiffin to go away (although I do wish Kiffin would have kept his mouth shut, at least until he presented a product and won a few games). Needless to say, basically predicting a victory over Florida (this year?!!!...at the Swamp?!!!...are you kidding me?!!!) is borderline stupid (regardless of the "message" he was trying to send) and makes me very nervous. I call 'em like I see 'em--and that includes the Vols, as well. Besides, after all the talking before the season and flopping during it in recent memory, they can live with some frustration-born criticism here and there; however, I'm also completely satisfied with a competitive 9-3 or 10-3 season from a team that leaves it on the field (a la 1983 or 2004; for examples). That is what I'm HOPING for this year (and to not lose 70-0 at Florida, as some in the media are predicting!).

I must agree with you somewhat.Bobbeavol is one guy that is heading for some serious trouble in his or her life.I don't understand how some people actually go to sleep at night. His time is running out.Bad things are in the future unless a change is made in the way he thinks and talks. Most stupid poster I have ever read a post from.

I respect your opinion(s): as far as the impeachment thing goes (I know that last political comment wasn't directed at me--I'm just briefly commenting on it); I agree--not liking someone ISN'T any kind of basis for an impeachment. Bypassing the checks and balances that were put into place by our founding fathers to prevent despotism COULD be, however. I voted for the guy twice and personally feel betrayed (and wouldn't have minded him getting impeached), but that is just a personal opinion. It's also history and, really, a debate for another forum (although I don't consider the author of the original comment a "moron"). As far as Kiffin goes--I definitely HOPE you are right and I am wrong! I actually should have phrased it differently; I don't and didn't want him to keep his mouth shut, but some better judgment in WHAT he said would have made me less nervous (I personally don't want Florida, of all teams, to have any bulletin board material from ANY of our coaches). Naturally, I don't really think they're going to beat us 70-0 (although I have heard that prediction more than once on sports shows), but they did beat us 59-20 in the Swamp year before last (your example from last year was in Knoxville, and the defense was greatly improved from the year prior). As we all should know, bad things have a way of snowballing on us (and a lot of other teams) in Ben Hill Griffin stadium. I also think "swagger" is a stupid, overrated, and very overused word in sports--you're either confident or you're not; and, if you are, you don't need to advertise it. The recruiting class he signed doesn't prove anything other than he and his staff are great recruiters (but so was Fulmer). His comments may or may not have positively affected the recruiting process. We'll have some answers soon enough--Western Kentucky (right?) looms, and they're probably better than U.C.L.A. was last year! Go Vols (PLEASE)!

Many of us have had, er, less than positive things to say about this or that aspect of UT sports, but most of us are fans nevertheless. A "troll" (sometimes also known as an interloper) on the other hand is one who never has anything POSITIVE (instead, emphasizing every possible negative, even if they have to make stuff up) to say about the Vols; who resorts to personal attacks on coaches, players, and other posters; and generally posts to see who he/she can rile up. When you have been on here for awhile, you will be able to identify the usual suspects, some of whom even have the word "Vol" or "UT" in their screen name. There are some few fans of other programs who post on here who are NOT trolls because they can discuss sports WITHOUT resorting to the sordid behavior mentioned above, though not all the "Vol" regulars recognize that distinction. You will soon recognize those as well.
